Y/n p.o.v.:

Before Jayden could even touch the door a man, I'm assuming is her father, in his late 30s opened the door and ran to hug her. "My baby is here!" He said as he hugged her tightly not even noticing us awkwardly staring at them.

"Honey?" A women said as she appeared behind him and tugged on his sleeve. She also looked like she was in here late 30s. "Sorry it's just my baby is back! " Her father said as he planted kisses on Jayden's head. At the moment Jayden was a bright red and was mumbling some not so nice words.

"Language." Both of her parents told her at the same time. "It's not like dad curses everyday." Jayden shot back earning a glare by her mother. "Hey, watch your fucking language like your mother said kid." Her father said as he smiled at Jayden.

"What am I going to do with both of them?" She finally said looking at all of us. "I don't know, guess you're stuck with them. Y/n by the way." I replied and stuck out my hand for her to shack. Both of the guys did the same and greeted Mrs. Salazar. "Please come in." She said as she let us in her house.

The inside of Jayden's house was something that I was surprised to see. Everything looked so expensive and fancy. It was as if she belonged somewhere else where she could dine with rich kids in a private high school. I didn't get why she wore plain clothes and didn't buy expensive clothing. Even though I was questioning so many things I felt so much respect for her growing inside of me.

"So, who are these kids?" Mr. Salazar asked Jayden motioning to the three of us but staring more at the two boys. Once Evan noticed Mr. Salazar staring at him he turned a bright red. Jayden quickly noticed what her father was implying and she also turned a bright red. "DAD!" Her mother on the other hand was trying not to laugh as she shook her head back and forth.

"I'm just asking." He said smiling at Jayden. "We're just doing a project for pre- Calculus." She said. "You sure?" Her father asked once more before Mrs. Salazar jabbed him in the stomach.

"That's enough, have fun doing your project if you have any questions don't ask me I was terrible at pre-calc." And with that we went upstairs towards Jayden's bedroom.

"I can't believe my parents, this is why I don't invite so many people to my house." Jayden finally said as she threw her bag next to her desk and sat on the chair. "You should meet my parents." Jared said and laughed.

Both Evan and I stayed silent as Jayden and Jared talked more and more about how annoying their parents could be at times. "How about you y/n?" Jayden asked.

"Oh, well yeah they can be annoying at times. Especially my father, he hasn't come back home in like a decade. Of course if he did a shotgun would be waiting for him at the door." I said as everyone stared at me confused and startled at my answer.

The only reaction that I got was from Evan that laughed and smiled at me as he said, "same." That was all I had to hear to know that I wasn't seen as a freak. Of course they'd be surprised to know that I didn't have a father figure in my life.

"We got two feminists now." Jared chimed in as Jayden threw a tape dispenser at him. I hated him with a passion when he said that. "Whats wrong with being a feminist?" I asked him.

"Everything, they're always so annoying they can't take a compliment from a guy, they can't handle a man being chivalrous. And they certainly can't handle being called a feminist." Jared said staring right at me. I was not a feminist.

How could he make assumptions of me and just sit there and act like he didn't do anything wrong. I hated how he didn't even try to change as years went by. Without thinking I took out my water bottle opened it and threw everything that was left onto him.

"Don't ever assume anything about me Jared Kleinman." I said as I opened the door and slammed it shut as I got out of the room. Once I got out of the room I could here Jayden yelling at Jared about being immature.

I wasn't in the mood to listen to the conversation so I went and looked around for a bathroom. I luckily found it right away and went inside as I heard the bedroom door open. "Y/n?" I heard Evan's faint voice say as he knocked on the door. I didn't want to respond, but this was Evan the guy that didn't do anything wrong.

I opened the door and saw Evan awkwardly standing in front of the door. "Are you just going to stand there or what?" I asked. "I'd rather stay here and not see them fight." Evan admitted as he walked into the bathroom.

"Do you think I'm a feminist?" I asked him and saw him try not to laugh. "What?" I asked him once again as he continued to fight back his laughter. "No, its just that you can't believe everything that Jared said." He said finally getting over his laughter.

"I know but it gets on my nerves, how can you guys even stand him?" I asked walking back and forth. "He isn't that bad, he's always been my friend since forever and I know you were as well." Evan said staring at me. How did he know?

"What are you talking about?" I asked him trying to cover up. "I'm sorry that I stepped into your personal space, but I know you were friends with Jared when you were younger." He admitted as he played around with his cast.

"How do you know about me being friends with Jared before?" I asked not knowing how to process any of this.

"Because I was in the same class as you." Evan said.
