y/n p.o.v:
I stared at the paper in front of me filled with information that I couldn't read because I couldn't find my glasses on the first day of school.
It was all a giant blur and the more I tried to make sense of it the more confused I got.
As I was staring at the giant blob of letters on the paper I bumped into a guy with dirty blonde hair and even though I didn't have my glasses I could tell he had some kind of injury on his left hand.
"Sorry." I quickly said and I heard him faintly say "It's fine." He didn't seem mad because I pushed him, but rather surprised that I apologized.
"I'm sorry, but I'm new to this school and I don't exactly know where these classes are." I said pointing the paper and then handing the paper to him. "Could you maybe show me where they are located?" I asked desperately praying he'd say yes.
"Um, the classroom is right here." He said as I saw a small blob that looked like his hand pointing towards a classroom directly in front of us. I was filled with embarrassed quickly said thank you and went into the classroom.
It'll be fun.
She said.
You'll make a lot of new friends.
She said.
You might even get a boyfriend.
She said.
After going through the first period without my glasses I was quickly called downstairs to get something that my mother dropped off.
A pair of glasses! She had found them. Once I put them on I began to actually see how the school looked like.
Before I could leave and thank my mother she held me back and asked. "How is it so far?" It's very wonderful, you know I made a fool of myself this morning with a kid that I don't even know because I couldn't find my glasses. I said in my head.
"It's fine." I replied instead not wanting to get into an argument with my mother. "You know why don't you talk to others, that way you can finally go out and you won't have to stay locked up in the house like Cinderella." She said and laughed.
My mother had always said I was Cinderella because instead of going out and partying like every teenager in the world I stayed at home and helped clean the house while she went to work.
It was kind of my job and I didn't want my mother to worry about anything in the house except her job. She was already going through a lot. And I was not helping her at all. I was just being 'edgy' at the moment and I had to take that off of me.
My mother didn't deserve this at all. She deserved the best in the world.
"I wil mom, don't worry, now that I have my glasses I can actually see and make friends." I joked and hugged her. "You can go to work and I'll see you later, don't worry about me I'll be fine. It's high school what can possibly go wrong?" I asked her still feeling her hugging me tightly.
"The real thing is what can't go wrong." She said and then she pulled out of the hug. "I'll be home at 7." She said and with that I left to go back to my classroom.
I knew she wasn't going to come home at 7, she'd probably be home at 12 after stopping by to pay the bills and talk to the lawyer about our situation.
Once I got to the classroom I sat down and began to pay attention at the teacher.
Little did I know who was sitting next and what there plans were for us in the future.
----
I had managed to become friends with a girl in my pre calculus class. She was actually really nice and she told me that she like my glasses. Her name was Jayden and her friend was called Alana.
They were both very smart and they inspired me to do the best that I could in my studies. Jayden also asked me to join her next week for a club, if I was interested.
It actually seemed really cool, a mascaraed styled club in which you could talk to anyone without even knowing their identities.
I didn't want to go at first because I thought it would be to fancy for me, but then Jayden told me that you had to go in a hoodie and black jeans. She said that this way no one knew who you were by the clothes that you wore.
Girls would wear light blue and guys would wear dark blue. And if you defined as other you would wear purple. I didn't really know what the colors stood for other than your gender, but I didn't bother to ask her.
I was currently waiting for my mother to arrive and it was past 12, the time that I expected her to arrive.
I wanted to talk to her about my first day, she was actually very eager to speak to me about my first day.
We had talked about it for months, most people saw this as nothing really major, but it was really big for my mother and I.
I hadn't gone to a public school from 3rd grade up to 11th grade. I was homeschooled and that was the way I liked it. That is until 12th grade when my father stopped sending money to us and my mom had to find a bunch of part time jobs to take care of us.
This meant that I couldn't be homeschooled and I had to enter school once again for the last year. I didn't want to go, but I did it anyways for my mother. She had taken care of me for my entire life.
Although it was her duty as a mother, she could've just left me like my father. And I was very grateful for that.
One day I would get a good paying job and find a way to make it up to her for all of the struggles she had gone through.
That is why I wouldn't tell he about what happened today.
I wouldn't tell her a thing about that annoying asshole Jared Kleinman.

Please vote and comment it would mean a lot to me, and will also tell me that I should continue making chapters for you amazing people!
