Nadia's voice shook, taken by surprise. "G-Good evening sir." She curtseyed respectfully and her face turned red when she heard mocking laughter flood her ears. She looked up at him in shock.

The boy sat back down and leaned back in his chair disrespectfully and laughed at her. "You vais are so frilly and weak here!"

"Ganondorf!" The Chief barked at the young boy, grabbing everyone's attention, and he sank into his seat. "Behave yourself!" She glared with her vibrant eyes. "The young vai is showing a custom and you must respect it in their country!"

The boy looked away. "Yes mother..."

"Now sit up and apologize to the young vai." She stated firmly.

Ganondorf looked at Nadia up and down, then looked away with a pout. "Sorry."

Nadia was about to take the fake apology and let it go, but his mother was not satisfied. She slammed her fist on the table and shouted at him. "That is no sincere apology worthy of a prince!"

Ganondorf yelped at the shout and Nadia spoke up, instinct taking over and not thinking much. "My Chieftain, it's quite alright! Perhaps instead of shouting, he take a dance with me instead!"

The woman looked at her softly, obviously thinking it over. Nadia, thankfully, defused the situation and made her happy once again. The woman smiled at her. "I think that is a wonderful idea, little vai." Ganondorf tried to retort, but she spoke over him quickly. "What is your name, my darling?"

Nadia curtseyed and looked up at her. "My name is Nadia, my Lady."

She smiled wider. "It is a pleasure, Nadia. My name is Urdania, and this is my son, Ganondorf."

Nadia smiled. "It is a pleasure to meet you both."

Urdania nodded and turned her attention to the musicians, who had started to play. They hadn't even noticed that the entire ballroom had been packed by the guests. She smirked a little and looked to her son. "Ganondorf, I believe it is polite for the voe to ask the vai to a dance."

He looked at his mother. "Mother, you aren't serious!"

"Now." She said firmly.

He let out a huff and stood up. He looked at Nadia with his enchanting eyes and held out his hand. "May I have this dance?"

Nadia smiled at him respectfully. "Yes, of course." She took his hand gently and he walked her out onto the floor.

"You just had to stick your nose in my business, didn't you?" He grumbled as her pulled her close to his chest.

Nadia looked up at him. "I needed to pacify her somehow, we don't want people to be upset." She held onto his shoulder and his hand gently and they started to dance. They gracefully swept across the dancefloor in circles, looking into each others eyes. "You have the most beautiful eyes..."

Ganondorf looked away, his face tinged red. "Shut up, you don't talk to a prince that way. Especially when you're a peasant, you're lucky you even get to touch me."

Her ears went down, finally offended. She yanked her body away from his, catching everyone's attention. "How dare you!" She shouted. "I am the daughter of a ranger and one of the castle's council! My great grandmother fought alongside the Princess Zelda, the Hero of Time, and the great Enchantress to take down Ganon one hundred years ago!" Everyone was staring now and Ganondorf was in shock. Tears pricked her eyes. "I mean no disrespect to you or your heritage, and I have tried to be polite, but now you have insulted my heritage!"

Ganondorf placed his hands on her shoulders. "Nadia, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that...Please settle down..." He started to wipe her tears away, but his mother was already yanking him away, and Nadia's father was by his daughters side.
