Nadia sat on the ledge of her balcony, her legs swinging freely as she looked over the small city underneath her. She tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled, watching everyone continue their activities as usual, not a care in the world. She looked over to her hand absentmindedly. Ever since the triforce activated at the old ruins, a faint marking of the triforce had been placed permanently on the back of her right hand. She let out a content sigh and looked back over the city again, the breeze brushing against her skin as she enjoyed the peace. There was a knock on the door and she turned her head. "Come in!"

Ganondorf walked in and smiled at her. "A letter for you, Nadia." He walked over and sat next to her, handing her the sealed envelope.

Nadia looked at it. "It's from Uncle Rilen." She opened it excitedly and read, leaning against Ganondorf as she spoke.

"Dear Nadia,

I hope you are doing well. I have gotten news from the castle that the new heir to the throne is to be born in only weeks, so he has decided to have a grand ball in celebration of his child, and all the world leaders have been invited. Inside of the envelope you will see a personal ticket for yourself, Ganondorf and Urdania will be getting their own letter. I will be arriving the day before the ball to help guide the caravan to the castle.I'll bring your horse with me so you can take a ride as well, I'm sure you miss horseback riding. Hopefully you and I will be able to spend some time together as well before you return home, but I would also like you to spend some time with your parents. Your mother misses you every day and your father is getting so impatient that he's been demanding I take him to see you in the desert. We both know that wouldn't go well. My own child will be born around the same time as the heir, so hopefully you will be here for both events. I love you very much and I am very excited to see you home for a little while.

I love you,

Uncle Rilen"

Nadia smiled. "It's really been that long, hasn't it?" She looked up at Ganondorf. "I've been here for almost a year now."

Ganondorf smiled. "That's right, we'll have to celebrate your one year anniversary of being a Gerudo."

Nadia smiled more and opened the envelope more, taking out the invitation. "It's going to be so strange going back, I feel like I've changed a lot."

"You'll be fine." Ganondorf placed a hand over hers. "It's like riding a sand seal, you never forget once you've learned. It will come back to you like an instinct and you'll be that beautiful Hylian girl just like before."

She looked down at the letter. "What if...I don't want to be a Hylian?" She looked up at him. "What if I want to be represented as a Gerudo like you and Urdania? I want to wear the Gerudo formal wear and the gems and the hair, I don't want to be shoved in that same dress and braid."

"Then be a Gerudo." Ganondorf smiled and stroked her cheek. "Nadia, you may be a Hylian, but you're also going to be Chieftain of the Gerudo. You don't have to hide that away because Hylians are looking. When we're married, you're going to be a Gerudo representative everywhere we go."

Nadia smiled and nodded. "You're right."

"Of course I am." He smiled and looked over the city. "I have a very beautiful lady tell me that being yourself and not something people expect you to be is one of the most important things in life."

"Did your mother tell you that?" She teased.

He laughed. "As if!" He looked at her and smiled. "You're a great teacher, Nadia. You're going to be an amazing leader."
