Ganondorf slowed down his sand seal and let Nadia stand. "Nadia..."

"It's gone..." She held herself. "There was so much that I sensed in that place...There was something there that could have answered questions I've had..."

He pulled her to him and hugged her tightly. "Nadia, that place was a curse, we should be happy that it's gone." He stroked her cheek. "We can find something else to explore."

She pulled away and looked over the vast desert. "...Ganondorf, are you engaged to me because of the triforce, or because you love me?"

"What?" Ganondorf blinked. "What kind of question is that?" He watched her hold herself and he placed his hands on her shoulders from behind. "Nadia, I don't care about the triforce. I care about you." He hugged her. "We're just young and inexperienced, that's what mother always told me about her when she took the role of Chieftain."

Nadia stared at the sand that spread out to the horizon. "...I don't understand anything anymore..."

He pulled away and took her hand. "Nadia, that place shook you, that's all. You're still the same brilliant Hylian archer that you were when you woke up this morning. We will find the answers, but today is not the day."

"We..." She looked at him. "The triforce has nothing to do with you."

"But you do." He said. "And I will follow you wherever you have to go and will never leave your side. I was by your side when you faced the world leaders after you realized who you were, I was there when the Sheikah came, and I was there when you found the mirror and sword, and I will be there wherever else you go." He watched her stare off. "What is it that you see?" He looked out.

"Nothing..." Tears slowly slid down her face. "Nothing at all...Nothing but sand..."

He pulled her to the sand seal. "Let's go, my love..." He got her mounted and took off back to Gerudo Town, watching her with concern. He unmounted the seal and took her back to the palace, disregarding the guards as they asked what happened to her and he brought her to her room. He closed the door and locked it before sitting her down. "Nadia..." He let her hair down and wiped her tears away. "There is no reason for such sorrow..." He sat and held her close. "It's alright."

"What if the sword held the answers we seeked...? Or that mirror...?" She held onto him tightly.

"You know as well as I that those objects and the ruins in general were nothing but trouble if we stayed any longer than we did." He said. "Who knows, the Sages could have shown up and had the wrong idea..."

"But I could have gotten answers..." She said softly.

"Nadia." He laid back on her bed and pulled her to him. "What questions do you need answered so badly...? What has been plaguing you so terribly that you would risk your life in ancient ruins that are being swallowed by the desert?"

Nadia looked up at him and sighed. "Well, why for starters..."

"Nadia, nobody knows 'why'." Ganondorf looked down at her. "Even the Sheikah told you that. You were the one who was given a gift because it was how the Goddess wanted it to me."

Nadia looked away. "Then who am I?"

"You already know that." He said. "You're a brave, smart Hylian girl who dreams to be a ranger and will be Chieftain of the Gerudo someday." He smiled at her. "And one of the sweetest, most compassionate and loving people I have ever met. You don't need some cursed ruins telling you that."

Nadia smiled and nodded. "You're right..."

He sat up a bit and looked into her eyes. "All the answers for the questions you have are already there, you just don't realize that."
