Roadtrip Fanfic: 5th Wheel

2: Jacklyn

Jack's POV:

I woke up. My whole body dripping with cold sweat. I was shivering. Scared. Alone. I couldn't breath.

"Wow you alright might"brook said looking at me concerned.

"What yeah sorry I'm fine I just had a bad dream" I said still quiver failing to convince him.
He he gave me a look of reassurance before walking over to my bunk and giving me a tight hug. I instantly melted into the hug breathing in the strong smell of his aftershave. God if only he knew how much I liked him. If only there was even a slight chance that he would like me back. Right from the moment that I saw him I knew that he was something special.

"Here" brook said handing me a blanket so I would stop shaking. "Want a cup of tea?" He asked.

I nodded taking the blanket from him.
He returned moments later with two steaming hot cups of tea. He handed me one and kept one for himself.

"You sure your okay jack?" He asked again still sounding worried.

"Yeah I'm okay honestly I'm just a bit shaken up still" I replied with a smile to reassure him.

We finished our tea and chat and Brooklyn stood up. "Night jacky" he smirked and started walking over to the couch where he had made himself a bed. Without thinking I grabbed his hand. His head turned looking shocked and I blushed looking down.

"Can you stay?" I mumbled shyly.
I expected him to freak out at how weird it sounded but he just politely smiled and walked back to my bed laying down on it and pulling me in close.
It was as if he knew what to do...
I felt safe and warm in his strong muscular body. I turned around to face him. The bunk however was pretty small causing our faces to be only inches apart. "Thank you..." I whispered. He smirked at me and pulled me into another hug. I wished that I could stay there forever. We ended up falling asleep in that position, huddled up together my head buried into his chest and his arms keeping me tight and close to him our bodies firmly pressed up against each other.
