Roadtrip Fanfic: 5th Wheel

9: Get ready for...

Brooklyn's POV:

We were waiting on Mikey coming home. All sitting in an awkward silence on our phones. Blair and Harvey had gone to pick him up about an hour ago and would be back soon.

About 30 mins later I heard the front door open then slam shut.
"Guess who's back back back. Back again gain gain!" Mikey shouted as he walked in the door with his arm in a sling.

Surprising he looked much better than he did last time I saw him.
"Mikey!!!" All the boys shouted at ones and ran up to give him a hug.
"Wow guys watch his arm!" I said in alarm causing everyone to go quite and look at me. I had forgotten the events of the previous few days causing an awkward stare between Mikey and I.
"Hey brook..." Mikey smiled being the bigger man.
"Er hi..." I mumbled shyly.
He walked over to where I sat and hugged me tightly. I could feel him smile into my chest as I hugged him back and whispered to him that I was sorry.
"I'm sorry too. can we just forget about it." Mikey whispered back.
I smiled and nodded.

"Soooooo who wants pizza?!" I heard the shout breaking the silence.
Everyone shouted in agreement.

We were all spread out on a bed made up of multiple pillows and duvets, on the floor, watching 'LaLaLand' with pizza shared between the 6 of us (Harvey was there).
It was getting late and we were all getting pretty tired but Andy refused to turn the movie off because he enjoyed it so much. He was cuddled into Rye then Jack and I then Harvey and Mikey.

I could feel Jack nodding off his head leaning against my shoulder. I got up picking him up with me and took him into the Jacklyn room. I lay him down of his bed but as I was putting him down I felt his hand grab onto my hoodie tightly.
"Brook...can you stay" he murmured sleepily.
I just smiled and snuck under the covers next to him. He cuddled into my chest and i rested my head on his. I missed this. The cuddles. The warmth. Him. We hadn't done this in a while due to all of the drama and I hadn't realised just how much I had missed him until now.

Jack's POV:

I woke up to Brooklyn's dreamy voice singing '5SOS-Youngblood', just out the shower, a towel wrapped around his waist showing of his abs and v-line.

"Well good morning" I said cheerily but my husky morning voice making it sound dreadful.

"Morning love" he chuckled turning face me.

"You've get to get up babe. It's date night" he said cheekily whilst smirking at me and winking.
We had never actually gone on a proper date because we had only just come out so I was really excited.

"But I'm tired..."I groaned but smiled to wind him up. He raised an eyebrow at me as he walked over and pulled my arms so I was slanted. He leaned in to kiss me then suddenly dropped me. "Aw come on" I sighed.
He turned around so I quickly snuck up behind him and jumped on his back kissing his neck as he turned me around kissing me in the lips our soft lips pressed up against one another. The smell of his strong aftershave filling my nostrils.

He pulled away and started getting dressed so I headed for the shower then got ready for the date. I had to get Rye and Harvey to help me choose what to wear considering they were the most stylish. I eventually decided to wear skinny black jeans, my favourite navy blue flannel and Lacoste trainers.

I tried not to look too formal or too casual for the date because it was a surprise and I didn't know what the night ahead included but one thing I did know was that I was more excited that I had ever been for any kind of date.
