The ground was hard. Sonic looked around suprised. Was he dead? How long had he been out for? Was he in heaven? "Sonic!" Amy said running over and hugging the Hedgehog. Okay definitely not heaven. Sonic pushed away. "Where is Tails?" Sonic asked questioningly. "I don't know, last thing I remember was talking to you at that weird castle looking building." She smiled. "Looks like it's just me and you!" Sonic moaned. Okay, so he was in hell. Sonic thought he heard a noise. He was about to ask what it was when a black circular  hole opened up in the air before the two Hedgehogs dropping out a yellow mobian. Tails. The portal thing closed back up. Tails rubbed his head. He felt.....different. His back ached a little he felt around his back to feel two new bumps had formed. Each right in the middle of his shoulders. He looked up at the hedgehogs. "Oh...well I guess we aren't alone." Amy said frowning. Sonic smirked. Perfect. He grabbed Tails's hand and hoisted him up. Tails blushed and looked around at where they were. It was....Mobius? It looked like Mobius but something was different. Tails began walking towards a group of buildings. What looked to used to be a functioning town. Tails noticed a sign hanging from a post. He read the sign his eyes getting wide. "Sonic! Come see this!" Sonic ran over, Amy close on his heels. They both followed the foxs gaze. This was.....home....this was their town. Tails looked past the sign towards the crumbling town. A darkness had befallen over the land. The sky a purply black, the sun hidden by the dark clouds. What had happened? Tails walked around the town. The routes he usually took. No one was anywhere to be seen. Something moved. Tails quickly turned but nothing was there. "You hear that?" Tails asked the Hedgehogs. They tried listening and shook their heads. Tails continued to walk, the sound of his footsteps against the ground. It happened again. Tails looked around. Sonic looked at the fox concerned. Something was going on. Tails was just about to say something when something red popped out of the rubble and tackled the fox onto the ground. Tails struggled with the red....thing. Sonic was about to run over when he noticed something coming out of the rubble around him and Amy as well. They were the town folk. Or what seemed to be the town folk. They looked almost memorized. Their eyes just pitch black balls, polished over like a black marble. They kept mumbling something. "Sin will conquer all, Kneel and Worship to your god Finis." Sonic knew these people were under some sort of spell or unknown force. Amy stared concerningly towards the town folk. "What's wrong with them?!" Amy said. The pink Hedgehog began walking backwards getting farther and farther away from the memorized Mobians. Sonic could here Tails struggle. Sonic was about to go help when he felt some unknown force push him down into a kneeling position. A loud boom followed by a flash of light filled the atmosphere. The villagers halted their advance. Something black began to walk out of the rubble as well. "How?" Sonic said watching as the black godly fox walked over towards Tails. Finis moved his fingers in a pushing motion. The Mobians dispersed to the sides. Sonic got a good view of the fox straining underneath the weight of his foe. "Enough." The black god said. The red echidna got off the fox. Cuts covered the poor Fox's body. Sonic knew that red Echidna. "Knuckles?" Sonic said surprised. The red Echidna turned around. That same black eyed look. "His name isn't knuckles anymore, he is now Rutilus." The red Echidna bowed on one knee. "What shall you have me do master." The black god smirked. "Kill the fox." Time felt like it froze. Sonic screamed but couldn't even hear his own voice. "It's okay, Sonic....it's okay." Sonic felt a tear run down his face. He looked over at Tails confused. The fox had a smile. "I should have told you sooner that we have a sort of telepathic connection." The fox looked up at the Red Echidna. The black god took some dirt and moved it in his hand before setting the object that had formed on the ground. A sword. Nothing special but still a weapon made for killing. The red echidna walked over to the weapon picking it up and walking back over to the fox. He held the sword right in front off him. Ready to thrust the metal into the poor Fox's heart. The dark god smiled and laughed. It boomed like the thunder and sent chills up Sonic's spine. "But Tails!?" Sonic managed to get across. Tails held up something in his hand. A bracelet. "I'm here." Sonic looked down at his bracelet that the fox had gotten him. "For protection" the fox had said. Tails smiled. "I know what needs to be done." Tails held the Crystals in his hand, taking off the necklace his aunt had given him. He looked back at the hedgehog. "Sonic, there is something you need to know.".........
