"You must keep going Tails, its not over yet." Tails sat up looking around him. He felt like he was in a dream, or was this really happening? He looked at the newly red cape that had appeared around his neck and swishing gracefully behind him. Tails looked around. "Where is this?" He said thinking. "This is middle ground. Where Mobius and the heavens meet." The voice said answering his question. Tails couldn't put his finger on who this was, but he had a good guess. "Initium?" Tails asked like a obvious question. "It is I." The voice said back. Tails nodded his head and observed the peaceful landscape. The clouds fluffy and white running underneath him like a river. He reached down letting the little water droplets stick to his fingers. The sun shined bright overhead but not blinding. It was if the sun was less powerful with its rays. He could stare right at it and it wouldn't blind him. "How am I suppose to kill a god?" Tails said letting the water droplets fall off his hands. Each one returning back to the flowing river of clouds underneath. "You can't." Initium said. A ghostly apparition forming in front of the yellow fox. "Well then what the hell am I suppose to do?" Tails said exhausted for some strange reason. The ghostly apparition of the god stood before him. Each fiber of the gods presence was like heaven itself had been laid before Tails. "You are looking at the situation from the wrong perspective, Sin kills. Love does not." Tails was confused "what?" He said his head throbbing. "How did I get here?" The ghostly looking fox began to fade. "You summoned yourself here, to the place of the guardians." Tails wanted to ask more questions. "Wait but how--." Tails tried saying. "All in time" The God like fox said before Tails's vision became blurry. Everything became darker. The landscape and clouds falling away to darkness.
"Sonic! He is waking up!" The pink hedgehog yelled. Sonic ran over looking down at the fox. "Tails? Hey bud, are you okay? You gave us quite a scare there." Tails mumbled something. "So--nic." Sonic put his ear up to the fox's mouth. "We can't kill him." Sonic pulled back and watched at his fox fried to get up. "No, Tails you must rest some more. You lost quite a bit of energy doing what you....uh....did." Tails face was full of confusion. "The last thing I remember was....." Sonic nodded. "I figured that." Sonic looked at the tired fox. "Sonic, we can't defeat Finis....." Sonic knew Tails was talking to him telepathically. "Yes we can Tails." Sonic said aloud. " I believe we can, and I believe in you." "What did Tails say? I didn't even see his lips move." Eggman pointed out. He shook his head. "This is the last place on mobius that Finis has not yet taken. I believe we should prepare ourselves for whatever comes next because, I have a feeling, this is the final stand." Eggman said with a depressed look. He suddenly had a moment of hope. "Maybe there is some helpful information in the book!" Eggman ran off quickly. Sonic continued to look at the fox. His fur the same golden yellow. His eyes the same sapphire blue. Sonic noticed something about the fox's eyes though. A hint of gold had now been placed around the pupils. A very thin gold line. It made the blue stand out so much more but Sonic knew it was new. He tended to stare into the fox's eyes quite a bit. Eggman came back holding a book that had to have been at least a few hundred years old. "This book had been handed down for generations in my family. It was a family heirloom. I was always fascinated by the book but there was a part......" Eggman trailed off searching through the pages of the book. "Here, look Sonic." Eggman flipped the book around. It revealed a page written entirely in a foreign language. "I've pushed this page on the back burner thinking it was just an example of how the gods must of spoke, but now, what if it held valuable information we didn't know about?" Sonic got wide eyed and shook his head. "Eggman has a point, what if it does hold a secret as old as time?" Sonic took the book and looked at the confusing writing. He began to speak what it said the best he could.
"Illis qui legere autem haec liber eorum scio autem quod prophetiae autem quod dou caudatus vulpes et eius fratres et sororibus apud armis autem caeruleum ericius apud celeritas tamquam nihil alium."
Tails listened hearing every word as if it was plain English. He repeated what Sonic had said. "Those who read of this book shall know of the prophecy of the two tailed fox and his brothers and sisters in arms. A blue hedgehog with speed like no other...." Everyone looked at Tails with their eyes wide. "What?" Tails said still laying down thinking. "Tails you just translated this." Tails looked up. "You were reading it in English right?" Tails said confused. Amy shook her head. "Its because he is the two tailed fox mentioned hear in this book. He can read the old language as plain as day." Sonic nodded. "We need to translate this whole page. Eggman can you get a piece of paper and write down everything Tails says?" Eggman nodded and left to fetch pen and paper. "Amy I need you to look in this book for any other writing that could be helpful." Sonic ripped out the old page and handed the book to Amy who began flipping the pages right away. Sonic looked at Tails. "You think you can translate this whole page if I read it off to you?" Sonic asked. Tails smiled. "Can a fox fly?" Sonic smiled. "okay let's continue where I left off....."
