This Is Just The Start

Sonic and Tails walked into town surprised that everything had returned back to its normal self. Someone noticed the two and began clapping. Then the applause became louder and louder. Till the whole town had come together in applause. Sonic spotted Eggman and Amy at the edge of the crowd applauding and conversing among themselves. Sonic set Tails down and they began to walk over. "Looks like bad times bring out the best in us." Tails said gesturing towards Eggman. Sonic smiled. "Guess so, and the respect of others." He gestured towards Amy who didn't run up to him like the usual. Sonic and Tails smiled. "Well looks like everything is back to normal," Eggman said with a grin. "It would definitely seem that way," Sonic said smiling. "Well, maybe not everything...but mostly." He said grabbing Tails's hand from behind him. Just out of the view of almost everyone. Tails blushed. They watched as the town began to recede back to its normal everyday routines. "So what goes on from here?" Any said still watching the townsfolk. "Well, I guess we go back to our old ways," Sonic said calmly. Eggman shook his head. "Today made me realize something. I can't be fighting the mobians that I call friends every day." Eggman smiled. Tails grinned. "Good, welcome to the team then!" Sonic and Amy both gave a suspicious look. "Tails I don't know," Sonic said. Eggman nodded."Seriously, after today I'm a new Eggman." Tails smiled and extended his hand. "I realized today guys, that we are gonna need all the help we can get. We might have stopped Finis but I've been reading in that book. Finis and Initium both had lines of children. Mine...and one other." The group raised their eyebrows. "So it's not over then?" Amy asked. Tails shook his head. "Afraid not...its just the beginning." Sonic shook his head. "Well, Egghead welcome to the team, it seems we are gonna need you." Tails still had his hand extended in a friendly gesture. Eggman took it and shook. "I have a feeling Eggman that I and you will get along fine, especially since I could use another mind in my workshop." Tails smiled. Eggman nodded happily. "Well until something weird happens, looks like we are all back to living normally." Amy grinned. "Well, I'm going home and taking a nap then, see yah!" Eggman nodded. "Me as well, I'm pooped. See you tomorrow afternoon in the workshop then?" He asked Tails grinning. "Gonna have to get used to this." "Sure thing! See you then!" Tails responded. Sonic smiled at Tails. "What?" Tails said. Sonic grinned deviously. "I'm tired too but uh...I need a place to stay and a nice warm bed." Tails grinned. "Well good thing I have a bed big enough." Sonic lightly unstrapped the fox's belt while biting his lip. "Meet you there." He said laughing and running towards home. Tails shook his head and laughed. He noticed a figurine standing a while away staring at him. An old woman. She looked to be the same one from the town square. Tails waved smiling and began running. A bed and Sonic waited for him at home, and he didn't want to miss either.

The old woman watched as The fox ran off. She smiled. Her body beginning to fade into a yellow powder. "I said we would meet again my Son, and we will once more soon...."
