As Sin Takes Over

(Sorry! I don't want to distract you before reading but I just wanted to say thanks for reading and commenting I can't thank you guys enough! XD.)

Sonic and Tails continued running. Everything seemed familiar in a way to the Hedgehog. He couldn't explain it. He watched as the brush underneath him and around him zoomed past in a blur of green and brown. The evening air catching his fur. He looked down at the pink Hedgehog In his hands. He didn't want her to wake up with him like this. The last thing he wanted was for Amy to think he liked her. Tails was only a few steps behind. His yellow golden fur shone brilliant in the light. It even gave off a small glow. Something Sonic hadn't noticed before. Sonic could see an opening in the brush. He continued to run, the one thing no one could beat him at....running. He reached the opening to be met by a cliffside. He looked down at the water below. It's sea blue  green color reflecting the light up towards them.

Tails came running up moments before. Tails looked down at the water. He had a sudden erge to.....jump. he couldn't explain why it just felt.....right. The scenery began to darken. The forest and cliff becoming a dark redish black color. Tails looked up noticing what seemed to be an eclipse. Thunder sounded in the distance making the fox jump. He hated thunder. Storm clouds began moving in rather quickly. He looked back down at the water. Something about the water spoke to him and made him want to jump. He knew they needed to, he had a gut feeling. He looked behind him. Noticing the plant life beginning to wilt into black dust. Tails eyes got wide.

Sonic followed the foxs gaze. The eclipse, the storm, the wilting plants. This "Haven" was becoming a hell. He noticed the fox had something on his mind. Sonic could always tell that look. Tails wanted to say something but was afraid of what the Hedgehog would think. "We need to jump....." Sonic looked at Tails once again. "Did you say something Tails?" Tails shook his head. He swore he just heard Tails say they needed to jump. Sonic looked down at the water again. The ground shook as the storm grew nearer.

Tails walked over to the edge and looked at the hedgehog. "We would never make a jump like that." He thought he heard the Hedgehog say. He knew it was what Sonic was thinking. He forgot that he never got to tell the Hedgehog about their "special" connection. "What are you doing?" Sonic asked as Tails leaned over and looked down the cliffside again. Tails looked towards the water. It's glimmering blue spreading as far as the eyes could see. Tails looked at Sonic and grinned. "Here let me hold Amy for a sec."

Sonic looked confusingly at the fox but did as was told. "Okay." He said.  "Now look over the edge at the water...see anything....strange." Sonic looked over the edge. The glimmering water shimmering in the sunlight that slowly began to disappear into a redish tint. "I don't see--." Sonic felt a hand connect to his back making him stumble forward and loose his footing on the edge. He yelled as he began to fall towards the blue water. So many things raced through his head. "I can't swim! I'll drown!" He watched as the glimmering blue water welcomed him below. He hit it with a splash, as everything became dark.

Tails watched as the blue Hedgehog slowly sank into the water. He looked at the pink Hedgehog and threw her over the side as well. Watching as her little pink frail body hit the water with a splash before sinking. Tails looked back at the land behind him. The one place that was supposed to be safe from the dark sinful god. Finis had become strong. Tails turned back around and looked down at the water. He left the Rocky cliffside behind him as he fell towards the blue sparkling ocean. It's white topped waves greating him. He watched the sun get covered like a light being covered with a red sheet. A red tint filled the whole place. The water a red blood looking color. Finis had done what he had come to do, it was only a matter a time....before he would come for Tails. Tails closed his eyes as the blood colored water enveloped him and claimed him as it did his two Hedgehog friends......
