"Where am I?" Tails said observing his unfamiliar surroundings. "You're where all gods and demigod go after death....the first place at least." Tails looked behind him at the god he knew only so little about. Initium. "You did well my son, very well indeed." Tails wanted to ask so many questions. "All in time my good Son...I'm not ready for you to come home yet, the world needs you still. " Initium said reading Tails's mind. Tails actually felt upset that he couldn't be here. It felt so peaceful and calm...like nothing bad could ever happen. Yet something was pulling him back...Sonic. Initium chuckled. "If I were you I would keep that blue hedgehog close...he seems to be a good friend...or companion," Initium smirked making Tails blush. "We are just good friends." Tails said defensively. Initium smiled. "Whatever you say." A bell rang in the distance. It sounded sort of like the chime of a church bell, but much higher pitched and more relaxing. "It is time to go." The god said smiling. "Will I see you again?" Tails said wondering. "Here? Not anytime soon, but down there...I may see you sooner then you think." Tails felt himself get drowsy. He still had so many questions to ask! "Don't fight it son." The god said with a grin. Hr heard something is changed. He watched as the clouds began to pull away from underneath him. The sun still shining brightly. He felt himself close his eyes. Still the peaceful tranquility of the sky overcoming him...Sonic kept running, it was the thing he knew how to do best. The tears fell behind him in splatters in the ground. He couldn't live with himself without Tails. He knew that. He came upon a clearing. He had run atop the mountain that stood over above all of the wilderness. He walked over to the ledge looking down. Hundreds of feet separated him from the bottom. He closed his eyes. The wind blowing his through his fur. The sound of the trees leaves rustling behind him. He was about to take a step further when he heard the chime of a bell. It was very faint like it came from a faraway land. Sonic opened his eyes to see that a beam of sunlight shone on the ground around him. It was so bright he had to squint his eyes. He looked up. He noticed a shape drifting towards him. Closer, and closer. He held out his hands, not sure what to expect. The body slowly rested into the hedgehog's hands, the beam of sunlight receding as the clouds covered the area. He looked into the face of the one he had loved this whole time. Tails. Sonic fell back on the ground still holding his beloved fox. Tails slowly opened his eyes and reached up with his hand to wipe away one of the many tears streaming down Sonics face. "You think I would leave you here alone?" Sonic smiled and kissed the fox. The love spreading from lip to lip. The velvety soft texture... It was like a kiss from heaven itself. Sonic pulled away slowly and saw that Tails was blushing and smiling. He knew he was doing the same. "I-I thought you-." Sonic fumbled for words. Tails shushed him. "I'm here now am I not?" Sonic smiled hoisting himself and the fox up. "I love you Tails...and I'm not afraid to admit that now." Tails smiled. "I love you too. More than you knew." Sonic smiled and looked at the horizon. The towns rooftops glistening in the sun. He began to run. The thing he loved most...besides Tails.
