Rose X Adrian

(This goes off the story by a lot so no judgement)

I woke up in the royal court to knocking at my door. I got up walking over and opened it to see Adrian, "hello little Dhampir" Adrian smiled walking in, I couldn't smell any alcohol so that was a plus. "What Adrian?" I asked sitting down on my bed as he stood "shouldn't you be with Lissa?" He asked, I shook my head "nah she's hanging out with Christian and she isn't in school right now." I explained patting the seat next to me. I thought back to all the drama that happened over the years, I remember school, and killing the man I loved, I remember the queens death and me getting accused, and how Lissa got to collage. "Little dhampir you okay?" Adrian asked worry in his voice. I must have zoned out for a while "yeah just thinking about the past" I shrugged, he was now sitting next to me. "You want to know my favorite memory" he asked with a sly grin. I nodded "when you gave me a chance" he smiled leaning on me I smiled ever so slightly. It was true I gave him a shot and now we were a thing, don't get me wrong he could never EVER replace Dimitri but he made me happy and didn't do anything to hurt me, I loved him so much. I kissed his head and grinned "that was a good time wasn't it" I joked. "So how is spirit?" I asked referring to his magic. "Good Lissa and I keep practicing and everything is going great" he said. Lissa all of a sudden came through my mind Rose meet Christian and me at my room I shook my head with a sigh and got up. "Lissa is calling, come on" I held out my hand and he took it. We left my room and walked to Lissa's room even though it was on the other side of this stupid place. We walked hand in hand getting a few stares it always happened but who cares. We got to Lissas room and walked in "you called?" I asked as she looked at us with a huge grin. "I have the best news so first off I am graduating next week as we all know so Christian well he" she couldn't finish she was so excited. "I asked her to marry me" he said, my jaw fell open as Adrian clapped "congrats you guys" I said hugging Lissa then Christiann. Adrian just shook there hands and looked at the time "oh Rose I need to show you something he said and grabbed my hand then dragged me along. "Adrian where are we going" I exclaimed getting out of his grip "trust me" he pleaded, with a deep sigh I nodded and followed him to a garden. "I got us food to come so please sit" he said "so this is a date?" I asked and he nodded. I smiled and sat down and chatted with Adrian till the food arrived. We are then he helped me up "Rose I was planning to wait but..." he started but hesitated, "Rose I love you and I feel like you love me, we have been through so much I want to do the the scariest thing possible" he got on to one knee and looked up and me "will you marry me little dhampir" he asked, I hadn't known I was crying till he got up and whipped my tears "Yes I will" I smiled and kissed him. We pulled back and I realized just then I had finally moved on, I had truly fallen in love once again. We sat down and cuddled sharing memories and that is when I realized one other thing, he had waited for so long to be with me, I kissed his cheek and leaned into him falling asleep under the night sky.
