Christian X Kayla

(This is going to be in between the first and second book and not fully following the story hope you enjoy the one-shot Kayla)

I made my way down the hall of the academy, I had been processing what had happened along with every other Moroi and Dhampir in the school. I was one of the few Moroi who didn't like gossip or party's. I was like Lissa in a sense except not royal. The few things we had in common were not liking parties and gossip and then their was the magic part, I had overheard them one day talking about Lissa having magic called spirit and how it was just thought of not getting your element. I am now walking around the school to try and find Lissa and her group so I could learn more about spirit. I turned one more corner and bumped straight into Jesse's group of friends. "Hey look its Kayla the undeveloped Moroi" one of the said making the others chuckle.

"Leave me alone" I muttered turning around and going to walk away until I felt an arm warp itself around my waist. "Why you leaving so soon?" I cringed at the voice I heard. "Jesse...am I cursed to have you here?" I say getting out of his grip. "Come on we snuck some alcohol into my dorm if you want to join" he whispered into my ear. I let out a disgusted grunt "no thanks, i'm not into that" I say turning around to leave.  I was roughly grabbed by the wrist and turned to his group "you are going to join us you undeveloped freak" Jesse growled. I was scared for once until I heard a cough from behind me. I turned to see Lissa, Rose and omg Christian. Did I mention Christian is my crush...yeah but he is with Lissa. "Jesse let her go" Rose spoke and Jesse did as he was told, guess he is still scared of Guardian Belikov. That's when I noticed it...Lissa was using compulsion on non other then Christian. I had thought it seemed real but I could see what was happening probably because of Spirits magic. I looked to Rose and thanked her and walked past Lissa and stopped. "We should hang out just you and me" I said putting on my best smile trying to throw her off. She took a moment then nodded "of course I will come over tonight" she said. I nodded and left to my room, I went on my laptop and tried to find anything on spirit. Time must have past because I heard a knock on the door. I got up and opened it to see Lissa, she waved and walked in alone so I closed my door.

"So Kayla whats up" she asks.  I take a deep breath "I know you have spirit because I do to" she stared at me eyes wide. We started talking about spirit and what she and rose had found out. Hours passed before I decided to bring out alcohol. "I don't drink much but I mean we both are spirit users how awesome is that!" I cheer pouring two glasses and hand her one. She takes it and drinks it; time continues to pass and by now she is drunk which means the bond is buzzed.  "Lissa I know your using compulsion on Christian" she stopped and turned to me fear in her eyes with a mix of anger. "I don't know what you're talking about" she says avoiding eye contact. "Don't play stupid I see the way he suddenly goes into a daze like the others...you must use it once a week...maybe once a month considering spirits magic" I say the last parts getting quite.

"I-I would I- never!" she managed to sputter out.  I glared my anger flaring...I felt the darkness I have felt before it rose and rose the more I thought about Christian being lied to about his feelings.  I suddenly snapped "Lissa you will break the compulsion on Christian" I said I felt a tingling of when I used compulsion before. She looked at me surprised....it wasn't working but I wouldn't give up. "You WILL stop using compulsion on Christian and confess to him about it" I say more sternly feeling the tingle get stronger and this time Lissa's face went into a dazed look.  She nodded and I smiled the darkness disappeared.  We talked a little while longer then she left and I passed out.

Its been a week now and the break up between Lissa and Christain was spreading no one knew exactly why so even more rumors. I kept my head down avoiding the people like usual, I turned the corner running straight into Christian. "Hey...I'm sorry" I said not meeting his eyes, I feel like he knew it was my fault. "Thank you...for freeing me" he mutters moving more into the shadows at others pass us. "Christian listen...I just couldn't let her lie to you, I'm...I'm" I took a deep breath. Was I really going to confess to him, this would be the worst moment but its now or never. "I-I love you" I manage to say before I start to panic and run off. I turn corner heading to my dorm and just my luck it's Jesse. He looks me up and down then tries to snake his arm around my waist. "No savoir this time Kayla" he smirks making me uncomfortable.

"Leave her alone dickhead" I hear. My heart flutters a little as Christian pulls me away from Jesse's grip. Jesse puffs out his chest trying to be frightening but Christian just chuckles pulling me closer and then lighting Jesse on fire. He let out a girl scream as the fire disappeared then he ran off not bothering to look back. I stare at Christian confused but happy, he returned my smile. I noticed his cheeks started to turn a light pink and in one swift motion leaned down and kissed me. I was surprised at first but kissed back as passion kicked in. We broke apart both blushing like crazy. "I love you to Kayla...be my girlfriend?" he asked more scared then I ever saw him. I nodded quickly giving him a huge hug then kissing him again.

Yeah i'm now dating him soon to be married he proposed 3 months after and we couldn't be happier.
