(Where Rose and Lissa never left, sorry I haven't been posting. I haven't read or watched in a while. This will follow bits and pieces but will be different in many ways)
I rushed down the halls, I felt the bond tugging, Lissa was in danger and I was going to save her. I turned the corner and bumped into someone. I stumbled before regaining my balance, I looked at the person and my body stopped everything. I stared into the mans brown eyes getting lost in them before the bond snapped me out of it.
I walked around them and jogged off all the way to her dorm. I opened it without hesitation and looked at her before moving my gaze towards her bed. This would be the third attack. It was another animal, I tore my gaze away before helping her up and taking her out of the room. "Did you touch it" I asked trying to keep myself from seeming frantic. She shook her head as I helped her sit in a chair. "I wanted to, I just" she began but I wouldn't allow it. "No, forget about it. You couldn't do anything" I said a little to aggressive.
We sat there while the dorm people took care of it. I noticed the man walk in, he was tall maybe 6'4? He wore one of those trench coats and his hair was down. Obviously he wasn't a moroi because of his figure but I had never seen him before. He locked eyes with me and began to walk over. "Headmistress Kirova wants to see you princess Va-" I cut him off. "Lissa" he didn't look at me before walking off. "I'll see you later Rose" Lissa smiled before she began to walk off. After a few minutes and began to walk to the office so I could listen in, it had to be about the animal and I wanted details.
Once I had made it I looked around and didn't see anyone. I got to the door and leaned my ear against it, with my heightened senses it was easier to hear through a door. They seemed to be having normal conversations until someone spoke. Their voice had an accent, somewhere in the east. "Someone's here" they spoke before the door began to open. I couldn't run so I stood up right as it fully opened. Everyone looked at me, Kirova did not seem happy. "Sit Rose, since your so determined to know" Kirova spoke, I straightened up and walked in taking a seat. "This is yet another animal attack, so we are going to moving Lissa to another dorm" she spoke.
I wasn't listen after that, I could feel eyes staring at me and I knew it was the man. "Dimitri will be her guardian" That caught my attention and I snapped my head up. "What?" I asked, I was supposed to be her guardian. "I'm her guardian, who even is this Dimitri" I snapped. "That would be me" I turned and saw the man step forward. Any feelings I may have had were gone. "Listen comrade, I'm her guardian" I knew I sounded stupid but I was not leaving her. "Your not even close to ready" he said. I tried to argue but nothing came out.

It had been a few weeks since the attack and I was informed I would be having training with Dimitri from now on. I walked into the gym and saw him, I tried to shake the fact that I felt different around him, I pushed it away as slight intimidation or anger but never fully believed it. "You're late" he spoke. "Why miss me that much?" I smirked, he ignored my comment and began walking "do the warm ups then go do 50 laps" he said sitting in a chair and pulling out a book. "What ever you say comrade" I said and began stretching. "You don't know what that word means" he said not showing any emotion. "Whatever, why are you making me do laps today. I should be fighting" I complained, I wanted to prove myself. "What happens if you run into a strigoi, what do you do?" he asks not looking up. I tsked "easy, stake it" I felt so confident until he contradicted me. "What if you don't have one?" he looked at me. "Chop off its head or burn it"He stood up and walked over. "Where will you get fire? If you're in public how will you get a weapon?" he stared at me. His gaze made me weak and question myself but I wouldn't admit it. "Fine, What do I do then" I rolled my eyes. "You run until you get into the light" he said.

A few months have passed and Lissa had been getting worse. I debated if I had trusted my gut that she would be safe. I was top of my class and just got better with each lesson with Dimitri. He had allowed me to start hand to hand combat after I had reasoned with him. I walked into the gym and spotted Dimitri. Every time I saw him something felt off, maybe it was the fact he was made like a god. "What are we doing today?" I asked going straight to my stretches. He came over and joined me "I checked with Head Mistress Kirova and she said if you wanted you could come with us to protect Lissa on a shopping trip, this would be for training and not pleasure" he said reminding me. I nodded, I had completely forgotten there was going to be a dance soon. Lissa had been talking none stop about it, honestly I was worried but if she was happy I would do it. "I would love that" I smiled, he returned it with a rare smile that made my heart flutter.
We continued our warm ups, he decided we would try hand to hand combat today. No matter how many times we trained I was never able to hit him. "What am I doing wrong" I groaned rubbing my shoulder after being thrown to the ground a 10th time. "Nothing your doing everything correct" he stated. "Great I'm just bad then" I said going for another punch, he blocked it and turned it around so I fell back but not before catching myself. He seemed impressed but I got distracted and he knocked me back. I stumbled but moved quickly to get a few punches in which didn't affect him. "We're done today but good work" he said turning around. I smirked and ran at him, a sort of war cry left my lips and in one swift motion I was pinned on the ground. I looked up at him "what did I do wrong during that?" I whined making him barley chuckle. "The war cry for starters" he said, I rolled my eyes and grinned. I felt a lump in my throat and my cheeks flushed when I remembered our position. I swallowed and looked at his eyes then his lips. "So uh any other moves?" I barley got out. He stopped for a moment before getting off of me and helping me up.
He didn't say anything and grabbed his stuff before leaving the gym. I stood there with my jaw open, how could he pretend like nothing happened. I shook it off and went to find Lissa and tell her about tomorrow.

I got up early that morning which wasn't that early since I went to bed a few hours prior. I through on a simple black outfit that worked for fighting and made my way out of my room. I walked out of my dorm housing and to the car seeing Lissa with Natalie. I grinned seeing Dimitris figure, I ran towards him holding back on the war cry. I went to tackle him but he had noticed me somehow before flipping me onto the ground. I let out a laugh before getting up and getting in the car with Lissa. I sat in the back with Dimitri and another Guardian. We rode in the car, Lissa talked with Natalie while I stayed silent. I was nervous but excited, I was surprised when Dimitri put his hand on mine as a way to calm my nerves which made it worse. Once we got there we got out and I was handed a flashlight. "That's it?" I said stunned. They laughed and we went in. No problems occurred and we got to the store where they began trying on dresses'.
Lissa called me over and tried to get me to wear a dress but I declined, she got it for me anyways. After a few hours we had finished and made our way back. Lissa fell asleep along with Natalie. I smiled at them and ignored Dimitris closeness. Once the car stopped I got out and we split from the group I caught up to Dimitri. "Hey, we need to talk" I said. He ignored me and continued walking. "You can't just pretend nothing happened yesterday" I called, jogging in front of him. He stopped and looked at me "Rose you are a teenager, you have a life to live" he said and paused "I am your mentor and it would be wrong" he said, walking around me. "I'm not a child, I had to grow up fast to protect her" I said grabbing his arm.
He looked at me, his eyes showed a mixture of anger and confusion. "Why can't we just accept what we feel" I said exasperated. "Because I am way older then you and we both must guard Vasilisa" he raised his voice and looked around. No one was here, they were all in class right now. "It's not fair" I hissed, I opened my mouth for another complaint and was pinned to the wall by Dimitri. We looked at each other for a moment and pressed our lips together. Fireworks went off in my body, this felt right. He pulled away from me and took a breath. "Is that what you want?" he hissed. I felt a sting, no words came to me. "No matter what we want this cant happen Roza" he said softly.
"We can figure it out, please" I said. I didn't know what this man did to me but I wanted him. He made me feel important like I wasn't just a object to protect the Moroi. He looked down and brushed his hair back. "We will see after you graduate...that's all I can promise" he said before walking off. I felt a weight fall off my chest. I could wait for that, it was worth it.
(Okay! I'm ending this here because I don't need to go into the whole kidnapping of Lissa, I hope you enjoyed! Requests are open <3)
