Rose X Mason

I ran into training late since I had stopped to chat with Lissa. "Hathaway your late" I heard and turned around to see Mason. I smiled as we ended up doing a handshake we knew. "What I miss?" I asked walking to a mat with Mason. "Just sparing with each other again" he said as we got ready to fight. "Why were you late, scared to be beaten by me again" he teased as I jumped at him but he moved to the side. "No, just didn't want to hurt your pride" I said as I avoided a fist. He laughed and we kept going at each other until I got down swinging my leg which made him trip. He landed with a loud thud as I stood up and held out my hand. He took it and I helped him up "nice job rose" he said. "You to mason" I said. "Want to hang out after class?" He asked with that goofy smile of his, "can't I have training with Dimitri later" I sighed. Mason nodded "what does he even teach you" Mason mumbled making me think of something to say. "Is someone jealous that rose is with a hanging out more with a different guy"  I watched him for his next sentence but he didn't reply. "Wait...your jealous aren't you" I said as everything clicked into place, all the flirting, his eyes lighting up when I would talk. "See you later Rose" he said and left the gym while I stayed and waited for Dimitri. While waiting I went to go punch something. I had found something and began to punch it when the door opened and I turned around ready to hit the first thing in my way. "Hello Rose" Dimitri said as I relaxed and walked over. We trained for a while until he left and I left to go find Lissa. I was walking to the library knowing she was there but bumped right into mason. "Hey there buddy" I said as he smiled "hey rose, I was wondering if you wanted to go out" he said, I opened my mouth to say something but closed it. Mason really wanted to go out, he worshipped me, he really wanted a chance and he was so nice. I sighed and smiled "Sure mason" which made him probably stop breathing which worried me. "Mason, I need you to breath" I patted him on the back making him go back to his goofy smile "y-yeah" he said with a faint blush.  I smiled walking past him "I have to go meet with Lissa see you later" I waved and kept walking to the library.
"Really!" Lissa exclaimed with a grin once I told her what happened. "Yes like you said, I should try to find a guy before I graduate" I said thinking of mason but then Dimitri popped up, I scolded myself and focused back on Lissa. "Well just don't go over board" she joked making me lightly punch her shoulder. We laughed and studied for a while till we were told to leave. "Bye" Lissa said as I waved and made my way to my dorm only to run into mason. "Hey" I said as he smiled "hey rose, want to hang out now?" he asked making me nod "sure" I said heading to my room. Once there we sat on the bed and talked about training and anything really. "I really love you rose" mason said making my eyes widen, no one every said that, or well truly meant it. "I love you to" I said with a smile. I really did love mason, I didn't know how long it would last because of us being guardians but I will still love him.
