Aaliyah's POV

I pulled into the mall parking lot and found an open space. I shoved Lanae's shoulder, " wake up girl, all that damn snoring", I lied.

She laughed, "girl stop your lying! and this ain't my job, what we doing here?"

"You agreed to come with me today, and I thought you knew me better to know that I Dont give up that easily", I said. "Let me spend something on you while you get the answers to your questions ma".

"you Dont have to do this Aaliyah, I'm well taken care of", replied Lanae.

I smirked at her comment and went to open her door, "baby girl there's always room for improvement", grabbing her hand.

We walked around the mall stopping at damn near every store. I forgot how much this girl could spend on clothes.

"Ooh I need to go to Victoria's Secret really quick, is that okay?", she asked beggingly.

I couldn't help but laugh, "whatever you want girl".

"yay!", she yelped as she hurried into the store.

She picked out several perfumes, the she savaged through the bras and panties section, stopping every once in a while to ask me if I thought "these" or "those" would look better on. She ain't nothing but a tease.

After both of our hands were filled with clothing and shoe bags we decided to stop and get something to eat. I chose the Rainforest Café because I loved the environment. I also needed some distractions since it was not Lanae's question time.

We ordered our food and began to dig in. "So.." , I said slowly.

"What's up?", she replied cluelessly.

"What questions did you want to ask?", I replied.

She took a minute to answer, then she looked up at me. Staring straight into my eyes.

"Dont worry about the questions hun, you've given me all the answers I needed today", she replied putting a smile on my face.

She leaned over the table and kissed my lips like she'd been missing them. Shit I know I missed hers.

I payed the ticket for the bill and left a tip for the waiter. We grabbed her bags and walked to the car. Back to her job we go.

We sung along to the music and talked the whole way back. it felt like old times again, before all the bullshit happened. We stopped at a red light and Lanae was laughing really hard at a joke that I had made. She lifted her head and looked out the window.

"Shit!", she said while scrunching down in the seat.

"Girl what the hell is wrong with you?", I screamed.

"Charell! She's in the car next to us!", she replied worrily. "Did she see me?!?"

I sneak peaked at the car to see the stud looking the opposite way, "Nah, you good", I said as I got irritated.

The light changed and I sped off leaving the car behind. We pulled up to her job and parked next to her car so that I could help transfer the bags to her backseat. When we finished I grabbed her by her waist and pulled her close.

"So when will I get to see you again?", I whispered in her ear then kissed her neck. She giggled.

"Sooner than you think love, just be patient", she said before pulling me into a deep kiss. " Thanks for everything today, I appreciate it".

"My treat", as I let her go.

"See you later", she said while walking away. I couldn't help but to watch her leave.

I got in the car and pulled out to leave the parking lot. Next thing you know I see a black SUV heading full speed for me. I swerved my car then put it in park so I could get out.

" Say man what the fuck is your problem!", I said while walking towards the car in anger.

The door opened and I couldn't believe my damn eyes. Red.
