Robert was woken up early in the night by a phone call, which also woke up Susan.
"Babe it's your phone" she said turning on her bedside lamp.
"What the heck it's 5am" he said looking at his alarm clock. The ringing stopped.
"Who is it?" Susan asked rubbing her eyes and getting up to put on pants instead of shorts, Aurora most likely turned the Air conditioning on in the middle of the night like she did a lot.
"I don't know" Robert sat on the edge of his bed and then stood up. He grabbed his glasses off the night stand then walked over to the dresser.
"Tell-marketer?" She asked sitting back down in the bed.
"No it's my sister?" Robert hesitated, confused why she's calling so early. He took a moment then called her back.
"Is everything okay??" Susan sat back up as he put the phone to his ear. It rung twice then picked up. He sat on the edge of his bed again.
"Ally?" He heard sniffs on the other line "Ally what's wrong?!"
"I-I-it's mommmmm" she sobbed out.
"What- what do you mean Al?!" He knew what was coming. Chocking back the tears.
"Sh-Sh-She passed in her sleeeee" Alyson choked up and stopped. Robert froze not knowing how to react.
"Everything Alright??" Susan asked from the side but Robert didn't answer
Robert exhaled deeply "wow, I just" He squeezed his eyes hard "I just I'm sorry Ally, I'm just"
"I'm sorry Bob" she said trying not to breakdown on the other line "Were having a funeral for her next week, in t-t-the...I'm sorry, I just. Can I- I gotta go. I love you" she quickly said before she completely lost it. Ally and her mom were extremely close, almost as close as Aurora and ally and Roberts Mom. Aurora's grandmother.
Robert sat on the edge with his face in his hands beginning to cry "Robert??" Susan asked climbing through the blankets on the bed "babe what's wrong?" She quickly grabbed Robert. She put his head onto her shoulder letting him cry into it. She tried comforting him.
"Sh-sh-she's gone Susan, Susan my mom. She's- she's gone" he completely broke down. "How am I-i supposed to tell Aurora, how am I" He couldn't stop crying.
"Baby I know I know" she said squeezing him tighter. She hated seeing him like this, vulnerable...historical, just breaking down. She began crying, she wanted to stay strong for him but couldn't. Once she started crying she couldn't stop.
"I don't, I don't know! Avi, she won't understand. She'll be asking to see her Gigi, next week...where are we supposed so say she went! And a-a-Aurora! She- what if- when she finds- Aurora!!!" Aurora treated Roberts Mom, or as everyone called her 'GiGi' like her best friend. Even Tori loved GiGi.
"Shhhh, baby it's ok. We'll tell her when your ready, Alright! Tell her tomorrow or the next day, don't worry. Shhh" Robert was shaking from crying so much.
"I'll tell her. But not today...."
