Tom Jake is asking if I'm with you. He said you haven't answered your phone since yesterday, you Alright love?

Tom he's getting me worried please answer

Tom I asked your mom and she said she wasn't with you. Then I just told her I found you not to worry her. But I haven't found you.

The messages he sent were at 5:04 am. He lives 20 minutes away. And it's 5:19am now. That leaves about 5 minutes? I heard the doorbell ring. Everyone was asleep accept me. It rang again. If he woke up the kids mom would kill me. Rang once more. I sprinted down the stairs almost tripping and answering the door.
"What" I poked my head out.
"Love you had m- hAVE YOU BEEN CRYING?!?!?!!!!!" He sounded upset. Almost like that day Chris put him in the hospital.
"Shhhh!!" Said completely walking outside and shutting the door. I was in pajama shorts and a tank top. No bra. I felt so exposed being outside.
"Did Jake make you cry???!!!!!!!!!?" He sounded so furious, and crazy.
"No Tom please just stop!" I whisper yelled at him grabbing his arm.
      "Are you okay?" He asked and I nodded my head yes.
     "I'm fine" he shook his head
     "What happened? At least tell me that!" He started begging
     "Jake proposed" I said straight face.
     "Oh- oh- he- oh! So those are happy tears" he said with a sigh. I bit my bottom lip and shook my head no.
     "I told him no.." I shrugged m shoulders
     "Wait did you two break up?" He sounded sort of excited
     "I don't know" I shrugged my shoulders again
      "I don't think he thinks you guys did" he opened his phone and showed me he had 40 missed texts from Jake.
      I sort of half smiled "I know"
      "Does your mom know he- asked you?" Tom asked me, it was pretty cold out so I crossed my arms getting goosebumps.
       "No, I fell asleep before she got home"
      "So when you called me last night?"
       "I was in a coffee shop crying...yeah." I sort of laughed at how pathetic I sounded
       "Aurora!!!!" He whined to me. I was getting really cold
       "One sec" I went in really fast and grabbed the first hoodie I saw throwing it on.
        I came back out and tom hadn't moved. Then I started walking down the steps of my house
       "Where are we going?" Tom asked as he followed behind me
       "Just on a walk" at first it was really awkward, completely silent. Until I broke it "I just stayed up all night feeling guilty. I should've just said yes." I admitted. I hate putting Jake through this.
"Well, do you wanna Marry Jake?" Tom asked sounding sort of sad almost.
"No" I bluntly told him kicking a pine cone.
"Do you still wanna date Jake" I sighed feeling guilt again.
"Ahhh, see that's where the problem begins. How do I tell one of the sweetest guys...I don't love them anymore" I looked at the ground and bit the inside of my bottom lip. I'd been doing it so much it was almost completely chewed up.
"Wow" tom said. And I scrunched my face and looked at him "I thought you said you loved him?"
"Well I mean I love Jake. But the love was like relationship love....at first. But now it's just like, oh I love you buddy ol pal!" Tom laughed at me
"How's that go again?"
"Oh shush!!" I laughed with him "it doesn't help that I might be in love with someone else" I immediately widened my eyes. Tom sort of froze.
"Who are you in love with?" He asked sort of tilting his head.
"It was just a joke Holland geez!!" I tried arguing even though it wasn't a joke. I think it was obvious to everyone. Who I was in love with. "Hey so we're still going on that date tomorrow, You and Olivia??" I tried changing the subject.
      "Yep. Now it's like you and Haz are actually going on a date!" Tom joked.
      "Do not say that there. That would just make everything so awkward." He laughed at me. When I turned my head to face him he was already starring at me and smiling. I smiled back. "What?" I was probably a tomato at this point.
       "Nothing" he smirked looking forward again. I rolled my eyes and looked forward again also. I wonder what was going through his head?
"Jakes been blowing up my phone all night" I started biting the inside of my bottom lip as I started making our way back home.
"Please just promise me you didn't say no cause the way the ring looked?" I honestly felt sort of offended. I looked at him with a annoyed face.
"Wow" I rolled my eyes
"What???" He asked
"You really think I'm that low of a person" I laughed
"I didn't mean it like that Ro" he said smiling. My hearts pace sped up and I felt butterflies.
"I never saw the ring" I shrugged my shoulders
"You neve?-" I cut him off before he could finish
"Once he got on one knee I stopped him from opening the box. I didn't feel for him like that, I don't know. It just hurt to see him get on his knee for me to say no, I didn't wanna see how much money he probably wasted on that ring and I just said no. " I explained to him
"Wow." He laughed
"So about tonight. I'll drive with Liv. You and Haz drive with each other we meet at-"
"You've texted me the plan 17 times darling, I know what's happening" he laughed and I rolled my eyes.
