The next morning I woke up. After the date, Jake drove me back to my house...then dropped me off. I really liked Jake. I woke up later then expected considering Avri, T and Mom had already left...mom for work avri and t for daycare. I looked at my alarm clock, only 8:32am. Then I looked at my phone, missed texts from, Tori, Jake, Mom, and Tom!! My eyes lit up when I saw Toms name. I know I should answer Jake first but I couldn't help answer Tom •••••••

Well there's that one! I was actually meaning to invite him also so...that works. Tori's message was just reminding me to have fun, and it was from yesterday anyway so I just ignored it. Not anything against her it was just, you get what I mean.

I texted my address to him and was really looking forward to it. I went downstairs still in my pajamas and went straight to the fridge to look for food. "Already hungry?" Dad laughed "eggs?" "Can't eat eggs Dad...it's been almost more than two years how can you forget!" I laughed at him as he face palmed "So, anyways...how was your date?" "I don't wanna say it was good so then you don't worry, but it was amazing!! Oh my god Jake is so sweet! He even asked! Asked if he could ki-" Dad cut me off with plugging his ears "LALALALALALLALAAA" He walked out of the kitchen. I knew I was stepping on a thin line talking about the date. I'll just talk to mom later. I finally settled on some cereal...once I sat down I started looking on Pinterest, and then Tori was calling me. (FaceTime) "Hey tor what's up" I said putting the phone on the table facing the ceiling so I could eat my cereal. "Hey babe whatcha doin today?" She was in her closet trying to find an outfit "Mini golfing with tom" I said with a full mouth of Chex squares. "What!!" She picked the phone up so fast "so your just going on multiple dates with multiple guys now??!!! What happened to the Rory who felt bad going on dates because you thought your 1 year old sister would get jealous" she joked to me. "Hardy har har" I mocked back and picked up my phone onto my face"and with tom it's not a date, he's my best friend" "Ouchhh, does he know about this?" "Well I mean...he knows I went on a date with Jake yesterday" "Oh yeah how was that! Since you never texted me back!" "Really really fun! He's so sweet and funny" I admitted, almost bragging! "Well...you and Tom are cuter!" She laughed. "I agree with the annoying one with this one" Dad joked to us as he walked into the kitchen "Downs my man!!" Tori yelled to him, dad walked over taking the camera out of my hands and putting it on him "Hi Tori" he smiled "Hi mr. Downey!" He gave me back my phone. Tori and I kept talking, then I migrated to my room, and we continued talking. After talking for Litterally ever Tori had to go out for brunch. I looked at my clock...12:30!!! Tom would be here in an hour, and I'm still completely not ready. I went into the bathroom and choose to straighten my hair, halfway thru I got a FaceTime from Jake. I put my phone on the counter facing the ceiling and continued straightening my hair. "Heyoo" I said as the FaceTime connected. "Hey beautiful" he said making me blush "Why'd you call?" I asked as it got silent. "Wondering what you were doing today" he seemed very shy. He was sitting in his kitchen, sounded like he was making a bunch of food, like sandwiches then he was putting them into a basket. "Maybe me and you could go on a picnic at the beach?" "You are cheesy!" I joked to him "So is that a yes?" He asked very confidently, plus very cheerful and I almost said yes but then I remember, I was going out with Tom. "Sorry I cant! I have plans!" I could hear his voice seem like it shattered. "Well we could go right now?" He seemed hopeful again, I quickly picked up my phone and checked the time....12:48 there was now way I could make it. "Sorry I'm being picked up at 1:30" I put my face on the phone, my hair was half straightened. "You look fancy?" He asked making me laugh "I'm not even a fourth of the way ready" still being in pajamas not even wearing any makeup. "Well I mean your straightening your hair? You said on the date you only straighten in if your trying to impress people?" He questioned laughing...which I did say. He asked on the date of my hair was naturally straight when we both had no clue what to say. "I did say that! Ha! Well Toms picking me up and-" he cut me off with a sigh and a "OoHh" "And me him and his bestfriend Harrison who I'm meeting for the first time are all going mini golfing" I said finishing my sentence after he cut me off, not to mention pretty rudely. I put my phone back down and continued straightening my hair. "So meeting his friend,,, is that a pretty big deal?? Orrrr" He asked which sort of annoyed me, with all the questions he was asking. "I would say it's a big deal, I mean his best friend! If he doesn't like me and doesn't want tom to hang out with me anymoreee!" I admitted. Kind of venting cause I was sort of scared to meet his best friend. Jake seemed really upset. Like not mad, but sad all of a sudden. I was trying to figure out if I did something, but I couldn't think of anything. "Nice" he sort of sighed out. "Are you okay?" I asked him picking my phone up and looking at him. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine" he faked a smile "I've never seen a faker smile" I rolled my eyes setting my phone down. "It wasn't!!! It's my real smile I promise!" He said doing the smile again, it kind of bothered me. Like made me mad, like he was hiding something. "Okay whatever I gotta finish getting ready" I rolled my eyes as I said it, I didn't even know why. "Aurora I didn't mean to upset you!!" He tried saying "I never said I was upset" I said holding the phone up to show my face and did a fake smile, almost as fake as his, maybe even a little faker. "Then why are you fake smiling?" He asked annoyed. "Then why are you fake smiling" I said more annoyed, for some reason. "I'm not fake smiling!!" He tried arguing "Exactly" I fake smiled again "What're you doing!" He said confused and sort of scared sounding "I have to go Jake" I said just wanting to be , not talking to him. "Ok bye!" He tried sounding sort of cheerful "Yep" I rolled my eyes, then pressed end. Confused why I just, he didn't even really do anything.

After I was done getting ready I sent that picture to Tori, it was a chiller day in down town La. after a little longer of nonsense I heard my phone buzz. I expected to see something from Tom but I rolled my eyes when I read Jakes name, he wrote. 'Hope you have fun! I Love You!!!' My eyes widened as I read love. Then I heard Toms car honk, still in shock I ran downstairs and said bye to Dad, still in shock I went and got toToms car. Tom was driving and Harrison was in the passengers seat. "Tom, Jake just said I love you" I said opening my door. Then remembering Harrison "oh yeah! Sorry I'm Aurora, just call me Rory...or really whatever you like" I said sticking out my hand and he shook it laughing. "Wait what did you say!!" Tom said not driving, almost as if he was in shock like I was. "I don't know we had a weird FaceTime call earlier, and then a couple minutes ago he texted saying he hoped I had fun and that he loved my" I buckled up my seat belt, expecting the drive but we didn't go anywhere. Tom and Harrison both turned to where they were sitting sideways facing me. "Who's jake?" Harrison asked "Guy Who asked me out and we went on ONE date" I explained "Why was the FaceTime weird?" Tom chimed in "He called as I was straightening my hair. Then he asked me to go on a picnic and I said no I'm going with you and then he started acting weird!" I said annoyed again "Aww you straightened your hair!" Tom said giving an aw face and Harrison scrunched his face. "I only straighten my hair if I'm trying to impress someone" I rolled my eyes and Harrison joined Toms awe face. "That's when! About then! He started acting all sad and then was fake smiling and I got mad and then yeah" I said flashing back to what happened "Wait what part?" Harrison asked "He got all upset when I said I was going here, but when he saw me straightening my hair he was super sad! But still makes no sense!!" I said annoyed again. Harrison and Tom looked at each other and smiled "He's jealousssss!!" Tom said poking my leg. I shook my head no. "what would he be jealous of!!!" I said and we all couldn't think of anything "exactly!"
