CHAPTER 3

JACE'S POV

The past couple of days in my mind have been interesting days. I had bumped into a girl who went to our school for as long as I have and had somehow missed her.

When she bumped into me I was annoyed but when she looked up at me with that innocent face and my eyes were met with her plain, dull, blank but beautiful grey eyes, I was stunned silent. Other than the blank look on her face she was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever laid eyes on.

When I found out I had the same history class as Alice, I instantly took it as an opportunity to get somewhat close to her and then when I saw her sitting in the back of the classroom by herself I felt almost sorry, but when we had the choice of having a partner or working alone, I saw no one make a move towards her and she didn't look around to see if anyone would.

Taking this opportunity, I told Adam and Blake that they could work together and I slipped through the students and sat down next to Alice giving her a little shock.

When she tried to refuse me in the nicest way possible I couldn't help but almost smile, but when I won a smirk crossed my mouth.

As I watched her during the class and during the lunch time, she always seemed to have a blank expression on her face. There were a couple of times when she would slipped up but quickly covered it with a blank face.

That whole night I laid in my bed with her on my mind. Thinking of other ways which I could talk to her other than just during the class. I was quite excited about her coming over on Tuesday after school, maybe she would act more open than what she did at school.

When I saw her in the lunch line I then also took that opportunity to talk to her and pay for her lunch making her not able to refuse me when I sat down next to her.

In the two conversations we've had, I know that she isn't an open person. I wouldn't say she was shy but she was very reserved. It was definitely a different to most girls out our school and it intrigued me.

I knew that I shouldn't be thinking about her or even want to get to know her. Instead I should stay as far away from her as possible but something just pulled me too her.
