CHAPTER 6

Sunday morning came and I was up dressed in my sport clothes, ready for the day. I was now in the kitchen holding my water bottle under the silver faucet, watching the cold water fall in.

Once it was filled I tightened the lid on it, tipped it over the sink to check if it wouldn't leak and then slipped my headphones into ears putting my music on shuffle and stepped outside in the cool air. I first started off by stretching my muscles out and then started off with my general run.

It was still dark but it was just the time where the sun was starting its ascent. During the summer going for a run at this time was always my favourite part of the day because the sunrises you got were so beautiful, they always took my breath away. My thoughts were always, 'no matter how bad the world was there was always something beautiful in it. You just had to look for it.'

My run consisted of just jogging for about seven kilometres to keep my general fitness up and only stopped when I desperately needed it. I ran up a few hills and back down them, around parks that were occupied by early morning families and just along the general pathway passing numerous people who had the same idea as me.

As I finally got home, I went into my back yard and into the grey old shed pulling out my yoga mat and medicine ball. Stepping onto the mat I firstly did some stretches as a warm down and then went on with a few yoga poses focusing on my balance and breathing.

My Sundays were consisted of almost the same thing every time and it was my day where I thought about nothing and no one. Sundays were as I called them "my fitness day" and it was just where I would do numerous different exercises, consisting from running, to doing yoga, to doing sit ups and push ups along with crunches of all sorts and going in the home made gym and going all out at punching bag in there.

I was now punching the punching bag with all my might and kicking it as well, making sure I was kicking it with the balls of my feet and not my toes, seeing as that would most likely break them.

Feeling the burn of my muscles pushed me harder, making me feel stronger and tougher. I enjoyed the burn you got from a workout, to me it meant you were getting somewhere and doing something to your body. At the moment I was feeling this burn everywhere and I enjoyed it.

When my workout was finished, it was late afternoon and I went into the kitchen to grab an apple. I took a bite from the big juicy red apple and moaned when the juices filled my mouth. Big juicy apples was probably my favourite food. They were refreshing, healthy and filled you up nicely.

Continuing eating I headed back upstairs and walked into my bathroom turning in the hot water tap first to fill up my large bathtub. While that was filling up, I tipped some bath crystals in along with some soap and adding a bit of cold water in.

I found that if you are doing a big workout then afterwards there is nothing better for you to do then sit in a nice, warm relaxing bath with a book or just some music to relax to.

School had started, dragged on and ended in a matter of a few hours and I was now walking from school to my work.

I worked in a small café which people used for all different reasons. Young teenagers for their hangouts or study groups because we had free internet, elderly people to catch up and to relax, young mum's with their young children because there was a small children's play area which they absolutely adored.

There was only about four people who worked at the café and as usual, I never interacted really with them except for when I needed to. A couple of times they tried to get to know me as everyone does, but I quickly turned them down. Now our conversations only consisted of telling each other what to do.
