You never let that smile away as Jin was right in front of you, wishing you a happy birthday.

You finally earned enough energy. You stood from your bed as you approached Jin and hugged him. The cake was on the hands of Jungkook.

"Woah~~ Noona and hyung are in love~~" Jungkook teased as the both of you were still in each other's embrace

"Thank you Jin. You really made me happy." you said as you slowly broke the hug.

Later that day

Jin's father called him for a 'talk'. Jin, as a good son, followed his father's request.

The two were in their room. Sitting on their beds, not complaining of how uncomfortable they were.

"Dad, what is it that you want to talk about?" Jin asked as his attention was on his father.

"Jin.. You know.. You are the only family I have. Ever since your mom and your older brother left us. As you are my only family left, I really tried my best to make you satisfied..." Mr. Kim said as tears were starting to form.

Jin sat next to his dad as he patted his back to comfort him.

"Dad, no matter what you do, I am always happy. Why? That one thing which made me happy is your presence. You never left me alone. Which is why I am happy." he said as his dad hugged his son.

"If that's the case.."

"Will you be happy if we left this mansion?"

Ella was walking around the mansion as her eyes caught Jin's presence.

"Jinnie-ah!" she said as she ran to approach Jin

Jin was shocked but still plastered a smile on his face.

"Yah, I told you, call me 'oppa'." he said as Ella was near and hugged him.

"Why?" she asked as she looked at the shining eyes of Jin

"Well, I am two years older than you."

"Oh? Really?"

"Yep! I am turning 16 tomorrow."

"Woah! Really!? It's your birthday tomorrow?"

Jin nodded and chuckled at Ella's exciting face

"Woahh. Why didn't you inform me?"

"Well, I want to see your face suprised."

"That's not a reason Mister."

"Well, in my case, it is."

They both laughed as Jin began to say something.

"I'll never regret the times we've spent and I'll never forget you.."

Jin's birthday

(Ella's POV)

Shoot! It's already 6 in the morning!

I hurriedly got up from my bed and went to the kitchen. All night I was baking a cake for him.

»Last night«

After Jin and I talked, I quickly went to the kitchen. Good thing, there were enough ingredients to bake a cake.

"Egg, flour, milk, cake mix..." I chanted the ingredients while searching for them.

"Young miss, what are you doing late at night?" a maid suddenly entered the kitchen

"Oh. I-I a-am just b-baking a c-cake." I stuttered as I was nervous because she might report to my dad.

"Oh? Really? For what?" she asked as if she was interested

"Uhm... Come a little closer, I don't want anyone to know 'cause this is a suprise." I said and gestured her to come near.

"It's for Jin's birthday. It's his birthday tomorrow." I whispered to her

"Oh.. Would you like some help? You know I'm an expert at baking cakes." she bragged as I chuckled.

"Don't tell my dad anything." I said as she agreed.

We baked the cake together. ALL. NIGHT

We ended at exactly 12:00 AM.

As I entered the kitchen, Anna, the maid who was with me last night took the cake and she decorated it.

"Woah, unnie! Thank you so much!" I carefully hugged her since she was busy.

"Don't mention it, young miss." she said and smiled.

After she completed the cake, I quickly searched for Jin.

Anna-unnie was with me, bringing the cake while I went to the butler's room.

I knocked three times but there was none.

"Try to open it, young miss." Anna-unnie suggested

I opened the door. Luckily, it was unlocked.

As I saw the room, it was empty.

Empty, meaning no one was occupying the space.

"Unnie, is this the right room?"

"Yes, it is but why isn't there any belongings of Mr. Kim and Jin?" she said as she entered the empty room.

"Unnie, did they... Leave?" I tried my best to hold back these tears.

"I have no idea, young miss."

"Yes they did."

Someone suddenly spoke which caught my attention

"Dad?"

"Yes, Ella? What are you doing in this room?"

"Dad, Mr. Kim and J-Jin.... Where are they?"

"They left."
