Chapter 10

"The Universe may seem cruel but let us hope we'll be together even if it doesn't want us to."

I woke up. However, I don't know where I was. The bed I'm sitting on, wasn't the bed I was sleeping last night. Where could I be?

White walls, white tiles, white interior coated the whole room. The bed was covered with white sheets and on the blanket, there printed a logo of a certain Hospital?

Seoul Medical Center

What is happening? Am I dreaming? I felt myself breathing abnormally. Certain thoughts rushed through my mind. I couldn't think something nor straight. However, my breathing went normal as I heard the white door opened slowly.

"Ella?" A voice greeted as followed by a male figure

"W-who are you?" I asked, having no idea nor clue at all

He didn't respond, rather he approached me. As soon as he took several steps towards me, I recognized him.

"Jungkook?" shock, was evident in me. Am I no longer in the past?

He approached me with a bouquet of flowers and a tray of breakfast in both of his hands.

"Noona? Are you feeling well now?" he asked as he placed his belongings on my bedtable.

I nodded

"But Jungkook-ah, what happened?" I was curious.

He breathed heavily and began to speak.

"When the clock striked 12 midnight, you and Jin-hyung suddenly collapsed. We didn't know what to do so all of us brought the two of you here, the hospital. Jin-hyung is in a separate room if you are wondering." he said

"W-what? How long have we been here?" I asked

"For nearly a month noona and you're the only one who woke up. Jin-hyung hasn't and we began to worry. However, on the other side all of us had to go on a break due to his condition." he smiled a little but soon replaced with a saddened expression.

"..so, we've been asleep for nearly a month?"

  

He nodded

What could have happened? I still have a mission there back in time. Is Jin still there? I have to see him just to make sure his soul is still in Mr. Kim's body. Why is he there and I was back here in my own body?

"Jungkookie-ah."

"Yes noona?"

"I have to see Jin."

Jungkook refused at first but due to my persuading skills, he was convinced. We walked together in the hospital halls. I held his arm for support as I couldn't stand properly due to my unstretched muscles.

We suddenly stopped at a room. Room 1543, it said. Jungkook knocked as I anticipate for someone to open it. The door was opened and revealed Taehyung.

"Oh, Jungkook and noona, how are yo- wait! ELLA NOONA?!" His eyes widened as his jaw dropped just seeing me awake as I stand.

"Yes, I'm he-"

"YAH KIM TAEHYUNG! ELLA-SSI IS HERE!?!?!" I can hear the other members shouting as they quickly approached the main door of the hospital room.

There stood five men. Hoseok, Namjoon, Yoongi, Jimin and Taehyung as their eyes widened in shock as well as their jaws dropped.

"Hi guys..!" I waved a little and smiled

"Are you sure you're alright noona?" Jimin asked still having the same expression

"Hmm...yup but I believe..Jin is here, right?" Their current expression were soon replaced by a saddened one.

"Yeah, but we still couldn't wake him up." Yoongi said

"Can..I..see him?" they nodded and made the way clear for me to pass through

Jungkook still held me as we walked slowly to see..Jin. He may be laying peacefully but..his soul is not there. Meaning, his body is empty..

Jin, are you still back in time?...

As soon as I left Jin's room, I cried. Why does this time travelling and mission to fix the past been fated to us, as a couple and not the other ones? I know it sounds selfish but, am I even willing to sacrifice our relationship just to fix the past? If my mom and Jin's father would end up as friends in the past, does it mean we'll not meet. Jin and his father came as our butlers because Mr. Kim wanted to clear up everything...Ah..what to do?..

"Noona, here. Eat first." Jungkook entered the room with his hands holding a take-out from a certain Korean restaurant. He took out the meals and placed on the table.

I thanked him as I began to shove the food into my mouth. Even if I am sad, I still eat no matter what.

"Noona...I'm just curious. What happened in your deep slumber?" Jungkook suddenly asked which made my eyes widened

Would he believe me if I spoke of the truth?

I cleared my throat and placed my chopsticks down. I decided to be honest with him, he's my brother after all.

"Jungkookie-ah, everything that I will say is true. However, if you find it too untrue then, you decide on your own to believe it or not. Understood?" he nodded

"Alright, I'll begin. First of, I remembered collapsing but waking up in a different setting was the first thing that I remembered after my collapse. I realized the setting was not modern so I looked into the calendar and said January 1983. Meaning, I was back in time, specifically the time when mom and Mr. Kim developed feelings for each other. However, I have to stop the development of feelings. As I read in mom's journal, I was sent back there for a mission to never let mom and Mr. Kim fall for one another. But, it got a lot easier because I was there as Hwang Ae Ra and Jin is also there as Kim Min Hyuk." I told him honestly even if he wouldn't believe it. To be honest, if I was Jungkook, I could not believe anything my older sister said.

"So that's what happened, huh?" He asked as I hummed in response

"I believe you noona. It happened to me as well...."
