Hearbreak

“I don’t know. He just said ‘or else’. We just didn’t question him about it. Cause that’s never a good idea. But seriously. He’s going to get massacred by Erwin.” Mike laughed. He was looking forward to seeing Levi get into trouble.

"I see, I didn't think it was like that. I seen he has the underground attitude still." She said turning to see Levi.

The squad was there to assist Levi. Petra was yelling St some cadet to do something.

Petra yelling at a cadet about how he shouldn’t be up in the elites if he’s not confident with the gear.

Tyleen looked at the cadet. She didn't understand why he was up there if he wasn't confident in his gear. She kept her eyes out for any Titans. She seen a few a 5m, 7m and 9m Titan

Levi sighed. Fuck Erwin for giving us this kid. “Kid. Trace back and join the flank. Don’t you dare get eaten on the way there! Also, titans, I’ll take the 9m one myself. Petra, you’re on point. You two,” pointing at two other riders” take them out.” Levi issued the commands and hurtled off to the largest Titan.

Petra nodded as she took point watching Levi go for the biggest one while she watched the other ones.

The cadets Levi issued the command to nodded as the headed off to the 5m and 7m Titans to take care of them.

Tyleen watched them head over as she looked around for any more signs of a Titan

Levi faced the Titan, using his gear to swing around the back. The Titan rounded on him. Trying to grab the small man.
Catching the wires, the Titan swung Levi around but Levi was quicker. Retracting the wires, he started falling to the ground

Tyleens eyes widened seeing Levi starting to fall to the ground as she got a bit ancy looking over at Mike to see what Mike thought as she looked over. What if levi got hurt? Could he recover fast enough before hitting the ground? What would the Titan do once levi hit the ground? Would someone be able to get over quick enough before the Titan gets Levi? We're all questions running through her mind as she watched Levi handle the Titan. She wanted to go over there just in case Levi needed help. Tyleen was waiting for Mike to give her permission to go over. But if levi got hurt she was going to go over anyways.

Still falling the Titan leaned down to try and pick up the falling Levi, but sending his gear into the titans back just as it was bending, flew up and sliced the nape open

Tyleen sighed a bit to herself in relief seeing Levi slice the nape over. She looked at the other cadets. One was handling the Titan pretty well. The other cadet? The Titan got the best of him giving the first casualty for the mission.

Back on his horse, Levi went for the Titan that had killed the second cadet. It was already chasing the first one, finally picking it up and biting him in half.
“Two casualties already...” swinging, the 5m Titan, Levi was racing around it, trying to stay in the air but he seemed to be having a bit of trouble. In open fields 3DM gear doesn’t work very well and the only thing that he could cling to was the Titan itself, which was an abnormal so kept trying to shake him like a rodeo bull.

Tyleen blinked seeing how the Titans killed the other two biting one in half and just killing the other one. "Mike! Let me go assist him!" Tyleen said looking at Mike.

"He has it. You stay back here." Mike said to her as he kept riding looking over at Levi to make sure he has it.

Petra had point as she was leading. If the Titans we're already this much with killing them she knew gaining the extra miles will be a lot worse. "Levi c'mon!" When yelled at him

Getting distracted by all the yelling, Levi’s gear slipped. Sending him swinging from his one remaining string straight into the Titan’s chest.

The Titan looked down at Levi as he pulled the last string throwing Levi to the side running towards the rest of the group.

"Levi!" Tyleen said as she broke from formation to go over to Levi. She hoped levi would be okay and not hurt.

Erwin sent a couple cadets to kill the Titan as they ran over latching on to the Titan as they worked themselves to the nape

Levi was knocked to the ground, groaning. His back hurt and he had landed on his left arm which was then trapped behind his back. His head hurt and he was slightly dizzy. The ground was hard and unforgiving. His horse came up to nuzzle him which was a comfort.

But, he knew he would die here, so he gave himself over to the blackness that was creeping around the edges of his vision.

Tyleen got close enough and got off her horse as she quickly made her way over. "Levi!" She said as she quickly knelt to his side. "Levi! Look at me! Don't go to sleep, you'll die. Remember in the underground? If you sleep after you get hurt it's not promised to wake up!" She said to him as she kissed his cheek. "This is going to hurt but I'm moving your arm." She said as she gently rolled him onto his side moving his trapped arm placing it on his stomach. "Levi, stay awake for me. Please" she said holding the tears back. She kept talking just to keep him awake as she looked up searching for someone to come over and help them. Tyleen looked back down at Levi brushing hair out his face. "Levi, can you hear me? Say something." She said to him

“Am I dead? Cause if I am, angels are damn hot...” he smiled at Tyleen. Coughing he tried to sit up but immediately fell back dizzy, crushing his arm again, reflex tears springing to his eyes. “Damn that hurt. But Tyleen, I can’t move. You’ll get eaten if you stay. And, it’s not like I was planning to come back anyway.” He laughed softly at her, pain shaking his chest as he did.

Tyleen gave a small smile to his first comment of the angels. When he sat up she had him lean against her. "Levi, I'm not leaving you here to die." She said to him. "You're coming back too." She said to him. "You can't die, you just can't. It's not allowed." Tyleen said leaning against a tree with him watching out for Titans. "We can hold back here until they come back through." The red head said to him. "We'll get you back home and to a doctor and everything will be okay. Okay?"

Seeing him fall back she got up moving him close to the tree seeing the under brush they could probably hide in she moved them there as she sat with his head on her lap as she looked at him and moved her fingers through his hair as her eyes got glassy seeing him like this.

Levi’s eyes opened a little. The world was blurry but there was a red shape moving around.
“If I’m dead, the angels sure are hot.” His voice was croaky and quiet. Laughing he reached out to stroke Tyleen’s face. “You’re beautiful when you smile.”

Tyleen leaned to his touch when hen he touched his cheek. "You're really sweet, levi" she said to him as she leaned to the touch and looked at him. "We'll get out of this, okay?" She said and kissed his forehead and leaned her forehead against his

“Tyleen listen to me. I’m not going to be able to ride. And you are going back. You will become the strongest you can be. With work, you might even be better than me. Doubt it but you can try” he laughed, causing his chest to hurt and convulse.
“Now. You are going to go, take my horse, your horse is shit. And you’re going to go and join the elite squad and you will make this mission a success.” His eyes were drifting closed already. His hand dropping a little with the amount of strain he was going though just to hold it on her face.
“I know what they say underground, that you never know if you are going to wake up, but this time, I’m perfectly happy. And waking up would ruin it because I’d get ripped a new one by Erwin. So please, leave me here. I’m tired. And, and I think I might... care for you. More than I thought I would.” Closing his eyes and sniggering into Tyleen Levi drifted off.
