"You don't want to say that. The king might take that literally. He's said I need to do everything in my power to keep you both apart physically. And I lied to keep you both employed here. And you're going to be an amazing fighter with a bit more training so we don't want to lose you. So you need to tell him it's over."
Erwin knew the king would kill her if she didn't agree to stop being with him. The lie only worked so well, and so they had to call it off. For good.
Tyleen sighed as she looked at him. "Let me deal with him when that time comes. I'm not leaving Levi. If you must get rid of one of us get rid of me. But I'm not going to tell him it's over because it's not. Tyleen wasn't afraid of dying. She wanted to be with Levi until her last breath. Even if that meant her days were numbered from here on out she didn't care. "I'm sorry Commander, I'm not breaking it off with him." She said to him
"Get out." he pointed to the door. "You need to leave. Now."
Tyleen sighed rolling her eyes as she walked put slamming the door cursing to herself under her breath as she walked out of HQ. She had to give Levi a heads up on what Erwin was trying to do she she started to walk to the hospital wing. Once there she snuck into Levi's room to see if he was asleep. She locked the door putting a chair under the knob to prevent anyone from entering. She locked the window as she looked over at him. She wanted to be with him for a few minutes. Even if he was sleeping. She'd just tell him tomorrow.
Levi stirred. He could hear something distant. It felt like it was a million miles away. All he could think of was this intense feeling of being loved - but it felt like it had traveled all the way from the mythical ocean to get to him.
He jolted awake. His heart pounding like he'd been on a mission. Seeing Tyleen it stopped. All the aches and pains took a backseat to the happiness he felt when he saw her."How long have you been here"
Tyleen looked at him hearing his heart rate go up and seeing him jolt. She was a bit worried. "Are you okay?" She asked softly running her fingers through his hair. "And only five minutes at the most.* She said to him. "I had to come to give you a heads up on some things and I wanted to see you" she said to him
"I'm glad you're here." He contemplated sitting up but realised that that was a bad idea. With a bandaged stomach and broken arm, he wasn't going anywhere. "I miss you." Gesturing for her to come closer he stroked her face when she got to the bedside. "I'm sorry you believed Erwin. I'm sorry that he's being such a dick at the moment. I'm sorry I'm injured. I'm sorry I got you into this mess..." he trailed off. There was just so much he needed to apologise for. And he didn't want her to be hurt.
Tyleen shook her head before she kissed him in the middle of apologizing. She pulled away slightly looking at him. "No need to apologise. We're a team, me and you. Okay? This isn't your fault but it's us against them." She said and held his hand staying close. Yes, she was use -and prefer- to be getting chased and shot at instead of mind games but as long as she was with Levi she didn't care what she went through. "I love you Levi." She said.
"Get ready for Erwin to ask how he can change this for you to break it off. He just pulled me into his office to ask. And if you tell him you're not going to he gets pissed." She said giving him a heads up."Thanks. I mean, I'm sorry but I'm not as strong as you. The military needs me. I'm the last elite left. It's my job to train the next generation of us, and so I can't do that without my rank. For the sake of humanity I have to do this, but... I can't lose you this way. I'm sorry." Levi always had put his job first. Now his priorities were confused. He wanted to put humanity's survival first, like he was trained to, but he knew, that in his heart, Tyleen's safety meant more than anything else.
Tyleen listened to him. She knew how important his job was to him. He was humanities strongest, he turned his life around from what it use to be in the underground. He put a lit if effort into this. So she understood how it was hard for him. "You're humanities strongest. No one could be stronger than you." She said to him. "And if you want we can put the relationship off for a bit so you can train the elites and to keep your job. I don't want you to loose any of this. You're an ama soldier" she said. Even though she wished they could have the relationship he put his whole life into this and was doing a good job. And she'd wait for him for how ever long it took.
"Thank you for understanding Tyleen, but I don't want to stop being with you. I... I don't know what I want. I normally have a plan, but this time I don't." He closed his eyes. He was torn. He made this life for himself and didn't want to put a stop to his hard work and all he'd done. But, Tyleen... he was in too deep to stop loving her.
"I'm not going to give you up though. I love you, and I hope you still feel the same way. Please, don't give up on me." He gently reached up and pulled her in for a short kiss
Tyleen leaned in cupping his cheek as she kissed him softly. "I would never give up on you Levi, we'll just keep our relationship from them and keep fighting' for it. And you'll be able to keep your job. Okay? We'll find a way for it to work" she said to him leaning her forehead against his.
Tyleen loved him. She knew this was a hard decision and they'll find a way for it to work of him staying with survey corps as captain and continue moving up and them being together. They were a team. Nothing could get between them and stop them. This was quickly turning into a them against humanity.
