Levi sprinted to Hanji office. He ran faster than he’d thought possible, fear driving him forwards as to ignore the burning he felt in his anscodtomdd muscles and lungs. Reaching the HQ building the door was off its hinges and everything was a mess.

There we're cadets hurts as they seen Levi. A bit of hope came to them seeing him knowing he'll help with whatever is going on.

There were a few posted Hydes to keep the security and make sure no one comes behind them. They seen Levi as they held their Shield's blocking his way. "You can not go any further." They said to him

“Red head, and underground clothes, you must be the Hyde’s” He said, with his blank face tilted up to look at the taller guard.

The Hydes smirked. "Yes we are. And you're an Ackerman. We came here to take what was ours back." One told him

“Tyleen?” His heart broke at the idea of losing her. These people were her people. But, what if she wanted to go with them?

The Hydes nodded. "You're smarter than you look. She has nothing up here. She will come back and be our leader." The one said confidently looking at Levi, they were for sure Tyleen would go back with them. Tyleen always bashed the surface and whole time being in the underground she never wanted to go to the surface so they were for sure she would go

Levi stopped.
“Please take me to your leader. On behalf of the Ackerman blood line.” Waiting patiently, Levi stood his ground, hoping they would listen to him

The Hydes glared. "No, the Ackerman and Hydes haven't been allies in 20 years, since you guys killed our last leader!" The one snapped

"Ty will decide. Take him up there, she'll give the order of what to do then. Another Hyde said as the two reluctantly nodded as two hides grabbed Levi one on each side leading him and shoved him down once they got to tyleen.

Tyleen glared. "Don't touch him or I will kill you" she said with venom in her voice. She went to Levi. "Are you okay?" She asked softly kneeling to him checking for any injuries.

The Hydes watched the two ready to attack of Levi tried anything. Tyleen had been auditing arguing with a few but she was torn in her choices.

Go home and be the leader again. Being at the top instead at the bottom of the food chain. Everyone she knows is there, she could go back to that life and would be happy since it was her people and she'd never be able to move up here. But she couldn't leave Levi. He was her everything. He's who made her happy and smile. Tyleen couldn't leave Levi.

“I’m fine. But, you should go. Your people need you. My people are dead. That’s why I’m here.” Levi kissed her. It convayed how much he needed her but how he just wanted her to be happy. That was all that mattered to him.

Tyleen kissed him back before she hugged him burying her face into his shoulder. "I do really want to.. but I can't leave you Levi.. I don't know if I can go if it means leaving you.." she whispered softly to him so he clan didn't hear. Her words could make her look weak in front of the clan and dishonorable so she was speaking quietly

Levi bows, although Ty said that she wanted to stay, he knew which option would give her a better quality of life. She had family and friends down there. He wouldn’t let her give that up.

Tyleen laid her head on him as she thought about her options. She kissed him softly before going to tell her clan she's staying up here and won't go back

Levi thought she was leaving for good. He stood up, calmly took a few steps, but then swept all the paperwork that was lying innocently on his desk around the room with an arm. He wanted Ty to be with her family but knew inside that the small selfish corner of himself wanted her to stay. But. She deserved better. Better than a low military rank, better than being untrusted for her heritage, better than him. He couldn’t open up as much as she deserved. Going to the door he locked it and sat in a corner, legs spread and arms crossed rested on them. He didn’t want to see anyone for a while. Just while he calmed down.

Tyleen argued with them in the language taught to the Hydes. After a while they concluded that her friends would still look out and be there for her. But she could not longer be part of the Hyde clan. Tyleen accepted it giving it up putting her friend Kiana in charge of them as she tried to open the door seeing it was locked she sighed and knelt down grabbing a bobbypin from her hair quietly unlocking the door and walked in looking for him seeing the mess she frowned and looked seeing him in the corner. She walked and sat by him laying her head on him.

“Why are you here?” Levi’s head moved into his arms when he heard someone open the door. He knew it had to be one of the Hyde’s. Who else would pick the lock to an officers space?

"Because I can." Tyleen answered looking at him kissing his head. "Why do you look so bummed. You didn't think I would actually go with them. Did you?" She asked a bit teasingly to lighten the mood

“I wanted you to go. I want you to be happy. You have a life there. Why would you want to stay?” Levi’s mind flashed back to all the friends and squad members he’d lost on missions. Their blood was in his hands. It was his fault that Petra and his squad were dead. And because of that he didn’t think he deserved the love of Tyleen Hyde, the most fearsome Ruler of the Underground. When he himself had almost abandoned that heritage to survive up here. Will all his dead friends and these self deprecating thoughts creating a depression and anxiety stew in his head, Levi started crying. He hasn’t done this in years. Not even when Petra and his team perished. The last time he could recall crying like this, was at 6, when his mother gave him over to His uncle Kenny... kenny taught him not to cry

Tyleen frowned hearing him cry and what he said. She brought him into a hug and hugged him tightly kissing his forehead. "Levi.. I'm not happy down there... I have a few friends dien there, but they're holding up the clan. But anyone with the last name Hyde aren't family. Family doesn't put others through what they put me through. You're the only person that has truly been there for me. Remember it's us against everyone else. I'll never leave you." She said as she hugged him tightly and kissed his head. "We went through this much together it wouldn't make sense to give it all up now" she said to him and smiled softly.
