After talking things out with the principal, he assured to give Noah a strict punishment for his rude and careless behavior but I and Ryan had to attend detention for 2 weeks because of physical violence. What else could I do except for accepting it?

"Detention? No, not again..." whined Ryan as we exited the school grounds.

"So, uh, you were supposed to attend detention yesterday because you bet someone up?" I asked. Ryan shrugged his shoulders carelessly. "Yeah, I guess...." "Gosh Ryan, what happened?"

"Yeah, I'll tell you some other day..." I was a little disappointed but I decided to give Ryan some time. We walked silently on the pathway when I noticed my house in a distance. Soon, we were standing in front of my door. "There we go, mademosielle." I giggled and punched him in the arm playfully. "You going home?" I asked before entering inside my house. "Uh, yeah...my dad's waiting for me." "Oh okay, bye! See you tomorrow." I said. "I'll pick you up tomorrow mornign just in case the black SUV car tries to follow you again." I smiled gently and appreciated his effort in making sure that I was safe and sound. "Sure..."

As soon as I got home, I quickly grabbed my IPhone, dialed Mom's number and waited for an answer.

"This number is no longer in service."

I frowned and stared at my screen. What the hell did 'no longer in service' mean?! Where is Mom?! I took deep breaths. I shouldn't panic at a situation like this...I should-I should...fuck, I don't know what I should do! Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door. I turned around and rushed towards it to open it.

'Mom's finally back! Now, I need answers!' But when I opened the door, I found no one except for an envelope placed on my doorstep. I looked here and there but the whole neighborhood was still and quiet. I looked back at the envelope. It had a weird-looking stamp; all golden with a shiny crown; at the corner and something was inscribed in cursive.

'To the one and only, Lydia Winters.....The Golden Lords.'

"The Golden Lords? This kinda seems familiar to me..." I said to myself as I brought the envelope inside the house.

Meanwhile, somewhere else....

RYAN'S P.O.V:

I stiffly walked through the dark alleys of the scariest part of the city. It was cold, damp and the only thing that invaded the place, was darkness and cruelty. Soon, I walked up to a broken-looking building. I sighed and met the guard that was standing in front of the building's gates.

"How was school?" he asked.

"Good," I replied emotionlessly.

"Just good?"

"I need to talk to Dad."

"Oh, then I won't be wasting your time." The guard moved from the gates, allowing me to enter. The building might look like a broken one from the outside but it wasn't so from the inside. It was a modernized mansion with numerous of rooms and splendid architecture. This humble house of mine was rich; but the people who lived here weren't.

I walked up the stairs to reach my room. My room was absolutely incredible. Dad surely did a great job in designing my room. But I had to talk to him. Urgently.

"Dad, I need to talk to you..."

"What is it, son?" My father was reading the newspaper as he replied back to me.

I gave out a deep sigh and continued, "Dad, I can't do this anymore."

Dad immediately shot his eyes up from the newspaper and towards me. His face turned from plain and simple to desperate and disappointed. I gulped as I watched him approach me slowly.

"What did you say?" he asked seriously.

"I said, I can't do this anymore."

"Why not?"

"Dad, this is wrong. I can't mess around with her like this. She's too innocent. She knows nothing about it!" I defended.

"Ryan, she knows nothing about it yet. But once she learns about her....you know what, the Golden Lords won't hesitate to spill everything out to her. And when she knows, she will be unstoppable. The key is to destroy her now when she's weak and vulnerable."

"Dad, what is the point of all this?" I asked disapprovingly. I didn't like what I was doing. I wanted to be normal just like other teenagers. But I guess I can't be normal....

"Ryan, you know what they did to your mother, don't you?"

I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. I nodded in silence and despair.

"They need to pay for what they did 10 years ago...

"Yeah, but-"

"And for that to happen, you need to kill her. Gain her trust, become her friend, take her somewhere alone and BOOM! You kill her..."

"Dad, I can't-" Before I could proceed, another voice interrupted me.

"Sir?" Dad and I turned around to find a person standing in front of the door to Dad's bedroom. I immediately frowned as the person slowly walked towards Dad.

I kept on frowning as he narrowed his eyes at me and frowned back.

"Sir, you called for me?"

"Yes, Noah Martin; I got a call from the school about my step-son and son getting into a corporal fight in the cafeteria. Is it true?" asked Dad with his arms folded.

Noah and I stared at each other deathly but we shook our heads in agreement.

Dad patted our shoulders proudly. "Now that's my two warrior-sons...." he said with a proud smile and he glanced back at the newspaper.

"It's a good sign, we committed 2 murders yesterday and there're no news about it yet. This means we can make our next move, right Ryan?"

I looked at my dad with pleading eyes. Dad didn't move an inch. Neither did he say anything. I guess he was just waiting for me to say something. I led out a deep breath and replied,

"Yes."
