Chapter 10: 'Forbidden Love', the 1900's Love Story

I went back home, thanks to the smelly and staining mustard on my shirt. And hey, don't worry, I'm a straight A student so my teachers didn't mind. But all I could think about was what I saw in the hallways. Ryan and Noah...

What was going on between them? Who were they even talking about? And, is it true that Ryan and Noah have the same father? I mean, that'll explain why Noah mentioned 'Dad' to Ryan and not 'my dad'. But still, I don't get it...what plan were they talking about?

Gosh, I need a break. I got some packets of chips and laid them all on my bed. I gathered my pillows to make a huge stack and rested my poor back on it as I got out one of my most treasured books ever, 'Forbidden Love'. You know, the one with the Golden Lords and the Black Viceroys in the 1900's and the love story. I know I hadn't mentioned the name of the book before to you, but well, here we are.

I opened the book and resumed back to where I had stopped reading.

'The woman slowly approached the tall man, standing in front of her. She gulped and stammered, "Sir, I failed to get it here safely." The man glared at her and in a second, his five fingers landed on her cheek harshly. The woman dropped her head down in shame. "Get out of my face." he muttered angrily and the woman left the dark room sadly.

"Sire?" The man looked up to find one of his henchmen standing on the doorway. "Sire, you asked for me?" The man nodded silently and spoke, "Get my daughter to the office immediately." The henchman ran instantly and in a few minutes, he was back with a young beautiful girl. Her emerald eyes shimmered even in the dark, her short brown hair mesmerized her father's eyes and her soft pale skin shone like a goddess. 

The man smiled and greeted her warmly, "Welcome child, I need a favor from you." "What is it, Father?" she asked with her sweetest voice. The man sighed as he patted his daughter on the head. "Melody, I know I might be asking much but, since you are the heir of the Golden Lords, I need you to be prepared for it." Melody just stared into her father's eyes silently, waiting for him to continue. "I'm giving you your first mission; to steal the $100,000 worth necklace and to kill the heir of The Black Viceroys." ...'

"Wow, this story is incredibly amazing!" I cried as my eyes popped out while reading the last sentence. As you can see, Melody Winters is the main character here. I know, I know, we have the same surname. I always thought that it was just a coincidence...I can't believe I come from a long line of Winters and the Golden Lords. 

Suddenly, my doorbell rang. I grumbled as I got off my bed ad went downstairs to open the door. And when I did, I saw the person I least expected to show up. His hair was the same midnight-black and shabby, his breathtaking eyes made me fly off my feet and his ridiculously cute smile filled my heart with joy. Then my eyes fell on those plump juicy lips. God, if I could have just one lick of that....

Oh my gosh...I quickly shook my head and led out an awkward smile. Did I just imagine myself kissing Ryan Moore?

"Ryan, what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to be casual.

"Well, I heard that you dropped off early. I started getting worried." he stated with his beautiful eyes looking into mine with care and love. But then, images of those deathly and scary eyes of his appeared right in front of me. I quickly stepped back and tried to regain my composure. 

"Are you okay, Lydia? You look terrified." he asked as he stepped into the house, approaching me. Gosh, was he always this tall? I looked like a little popsicle in front of him.

"Uh...eh, I'm f-fine. Haha.." Oh god, I wanna kill myself right now!

Ryan narrowed his eyes but then chuckled. "You look cute when you're nervous."
