Chapter 19
Ross' POV
It was 10 in the morning and we had just arrived at the recording studio. The music director, the song writers and all the Disney producers were all supposed to be there today. I opened the door for Laura.
"Thanks." She said.
As soon as they saw us, they all welcomed us. "Ahhhh! Ross, Laura! So good to meet you guys! I'm David."
"Nice to meet you too!" I say, shaking all their hands.
"Let's get started. You guys know all your songs?" He asked.
"Um.... Most of them." I concluded.
"Yeah. Well you do have a lot. But I don't think you'll have a problem. I heard you're used to do that, with your band I presume?"
"Haha! Yeah, I am."
"And you Laura, do you know them?" He asked her. "Your songs. And-, how many do you have exactly?"
"Oh I only have two! And I know both of them!"
"Perfect! So, you could leave earlier if you want. But-, we'll decide that later."
"Yeah...." I mumbled. "Later."
I kind of didn't want her to leave early. We always have so much fun together.

After we did our vocal warm ups, we had to start because we had a long day ahead of us.
"So Ross... Your first song is 'Double Take'. You ready to start?"
"Of course!"
I was so pumped every time I was going to the studio. I looked at Laura.
"Good luck!"
"Don't need it!" I winked at her. "But thanks!"
I left the room and got in the smaller room with the mic and the lyrics sheet stand was. I put on the headphones. I could see the producers from the big window in front of me. I saw them mouth "Ready?” I nodded. I placed the lyric stand closer to me so I could read them.
"Flip the switch
Turn on the lightning
Get it right
Show em how it’s done"
The music stopped.
"Okay, Ross. This time, can you do it a little bit more with an electric and direct vibe?" I nodded again. That was awesome! I started again. After about 5 minutes we got the first verse perfectly.
"They wanna know, know, know

They want the girl, girl, girl
With game, game, game
And when they look, look, look

You gotta make, make, make em do a double take"
I did the corus about 6 times to have it perfectly. Laura was dancing around the studio on the other side of the window. No one could see her because she was behind all the producers at the mixing tables. She was so hilarious.

I was so happy when we finished the song. I took about an hour and then I realized that we would need a lot more than a day to record everything. I got out of the room and went back to the studio where everyone else was.
"That was amazing Ross!" David told me.
"Thanks man!"
"Laura, you're up!" He told her.
