Chapter 22
Laura's POV
I was trying not to smile that much during the concert, but I just couldn't help it. It was stronger than me. That feeling. That little spark I felt that went through my whole body every time he would look in the deepest of my eyes, smiling at me, even if he was pretty far from me.
I would sing to almost every song, always dancing around with Stormie. We both had an amazing time!
When they finished a song and Stormie and I sat down. We were exhausted of all that dancing and jumping around. The band were placing stools at the edges of the stage. They grabbed the acoustic guitars and went to sit.
That was my favorite part of the concert last time. It would be an amazing time to bring back memories.
At this specific moment, I felt my phone vibrate. I took it out of my purse and looked at the screen.
Mom.
Crap.
Why? Because she didn't know I left the wedding in the first place and she was probably going to yell at me so hard my ears were going to bleed. But I still had to take it.
I looked up from my phone. Stormie was looking at me.
"I have to take this," I mouthed.
Ross' POV
We sat on our stool, and got ready to sing One Last Dance. Rocky started playing and I looked up, where Laura was-
Why was she leaving!?
She was literally walking out. Just after she grabbed the handle of the door, I saw her bring her hand to her ear.
A phone call.
I know I shouldn't and it was wrong feeling like that, but I was a little insulted. She knew these were my favorite parts of the shows, but she still had to leave. I wondered what could be so important.
I started singing these words I had written a few months ago.
Laura's POV
"H-Hello?"
I was so nervous, I was shaking from everywhere.
"LAURA MARANO!"
Ouch!
"Y-Yes?"
"Where are you exactly, young lady!!??"
"Um-," What the hell was I supped to answer?
"Laura!!"
"Let's just say I'm not at the wedding anymore..."
"Oh really!? That is probably why I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU FOR 2 HOURS AND I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND YOU!!"
"Sorry..."
"Is that all you have to say!!?? Laura, WHERE ON EARTH ARE YOU!?"
Well, I guess I had to tell it all.
"Well, actually, earlier I was trying to tell you that-"
"What, Laura!? What reason could possibly be good enough to make you leave your cousin's wedding!?"
Oh my God! What was wrong with her!?
"Ross invited me to an R5 concert a few weeks ago, and during the wedding I remembered it was today and-"
"All of this just for a BOY, LAURA!??"
"Mom! Don't say that!"
It isn't just a boy, I wanted to say. But it would've been worthless anyways.
