Ok so here is a new Species of creature. So in this picture above, we have a male. I don't know what to call their species yet, so call out if you want. So, that thing on its head is something that both genders have. They use it to communicate, usually to call out distress or for help. The cone is something that only the males have. The females barely have one because it is used for mating; it attracts females the bigger it is. Also, they only have feathers on their head. They are there to show how old they are with colors, also if they are a male, there cone will get bigger with age. So, as you can see in the picture above, is the colors for feathers depending on the age. This one is a young adult because the green us in the middle of the color scale. Also, the older the animal, the larger the feathers get and the more they have on their head. Once they get older, they will start to go down to their neck. The feathers will stop spreading once they reach the cone. Also, the females will lay to about 3 eggs, usually 2 will survive. These creatures are mates for life, if one does early, they will find a new mate. They both help make a nest together with mud, sand, leaves; it depends on where they are living. This one above, lives in the desert and since her is brown, it helps him blend in. They all like to eat vegetation, but if there is not that much greens, they will eat carrion. Their life span is about 15-20 years of age. They don't have any natural predators yet, but you never know what I might do. Ask if you have any questions about my new Species! Don't forget about the name help!
