The next couple days were so quiet. Wren hadn't talked nor looked at me once. He had come into work earlier than I everyday and made sure he was always at the back. Wendy even heard he was getting kind of close with some girl at the coffee shop. Wendy told me that the girl was blonde and her name was Sarah but I wanted to check this out for myself so today after work I went over to the coffee place.

It was snowing lightly outside but they were calling for a storm this weekend.

I walked in and got a seat at the back. I saw two men walking around at the back but no blonde girl. Maybe she just wasn't there today or she had a different shift. I got up when the door opened and I saw a pretty blonde girl walking in laughing with two hands on her shoulders. They were Wrens and he was laughing to. I sunk low into my seat a carefully watched them. She kissed Wren on the cheek and went into the back and Wren watched her. I followed Wren's gaze until I realised it was coming to me. I quickly grabbed a magazine and pretended to be into it. I honestly do not like magazines though. They invade celebrities privacy only aggravating them making them do bad things caught on camera.

Wren walked over to the table and I slowly looked up.

"North, what're doing here?" he asked raising his eyebrows. I expected the first time he'd talk to me in days he'd be mad but he just sounded like he was teasing me. I decided to quickly make up a lie so he wouldn't catch on.

"I was supposed to meet Connor here in a couple minutes." I said.

"Oh so you won't mine if I stay here and wait with you until he does?" Wren pushed.

"No not at all." I bit my tongue. Why did I just say that? I nervously started chewing on my lip. I quickly pulled my phone out and texted Connor,

"Coffee, date, now"

He relied quickly.

"Be there soon."

"Who was that?" Wren asked me.

"Oh Connor, he just texted me letting me know he'd be late." I lied.

Wren nodded slyly.

"So why talk to me now?" I asked.

"I feel like you've suffered enough." wren smirked.

"Oh those past days were heaven." I admired.

"Oh well then I guess I'll go." Wren said standing up.

"No no no!" I said grabbing his wrist pulling him back. I cleared my throat as he sat.

"I mean, well it's nice to have your company." I corrected.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Yeah." I replied. He looked at me like right in the eyes. His eyes were this certain shade of brown that was unique. He had green speckles around his pupil like I had golden. The front door opened a I blinked and looked to the front clearing my voice. Connor walked in but Wren was still staring at me. I stood up and greeted Connor. I gave him a hug. Wren slowly got up and nodded to Connor then left. I saw the blonde girl over at the counter she was staring at Connor licking her bottom lip and chewing her index fingernail.

"I'm going to grab myself a coffee, but why don't we go over to my place to chill?" Connor asked.

"Yeah, of course." I said. He has his own place! Hot!

I watched him go over to the counter and the barista blonde gave him some flirty looks that he easily without noticing reflected off.

He drove us to this apartment complex about 2 miles away. A little less hot but still really mature.
