so i'm going into the room with madelaine so i can get my blood drawn . i'm nervous because i have a total huge fear of needles but i'm gonna do this for someone i love .

the doctor told me to lay down and relax . and next thing i know , about 20 minutes later , he was done . longest 20 minutes of my life .

i was extremely drained and weak but it was all worth it .

"so miss morgan , you have to get some rest as well . a pint and a half is a lot of blood to loose at one time so lay down . take a nap even and by the time you wake up , madelaine should be awake too ." he told me while taking his gloves off and disposing the needles in the bin .

i gave her a faint smile and went straight to sleep . i wanted to pass time so madelaine would wake up quicker .

1 hour later

all the main cast of riverdale is here right now before our families arrive and i realize i'm still covered in blood but hey , battle scars right lmao . we're all chatting and i don't really have the energy so i just watch the conversations in amusement .

in the mist of them talking i look over to mads and see her eyes flutter .

"guys look." i somehow gathered to say still speaking in a low tone because i'm still kind of weak and dizzy .

the whole room went silent and the focus shifted on madelaine .

"oh my goodness mads ! you're awake ! we missed you ! i'm so glad you're okay !" a collective response of multiple voices said . they all went up to her giving her a soft , gentle group hug. i wish i could get up .

"oowwww guys i'm still kind of sore." she whispered . it barely came out of her mouth . she was hurting and i could tell . i started to silently cry a little bit and i didn't have the energy to say anything .

"vanessa?" she turned and looked at me with a facial expression that indicated she was in pain .

"easy." i said . which meant for her to take it easy and to slow down .

"what happened to you?" she asked me but i was to winded to tell the whole story . i pointed at camila to tell mads the story .

after telling her the story , the nurse came in to check up on us both and she told madelaine that she could be discharged in about an hour and she told her about me donating blood to her . she couldn't do anything but cry . she told me that she was thankful for me and she gave me a air hug .

i started getting my energy and everything back eventually so i got out of the bed and gave madelaine a big hug .

"is that my blood on you?" she asked .

"yes , every last drop." i said looking over my clothes . "i felt like i owed this favor to you because i feel like you getting hurt was my fault . only if i had arrived a few moments earlier ." i say on the edge of her bed and rubbed the back of her hand .

"oh no babe, this is my fault . i feel stupid for moving in with travis honestly . i should've sticked with my girly for a while longer." she sent me a small smile and i sent her one back .

"we all learn lesson for a reason but i just wish this didn't happen to you ." i whined . "you didn't deserve this ." i said .

she held her arms open for me to hug her . i climb next to her and i hug her softly and gentle making sure i don't squeeze her wounds .

we sat there hugging for like five minutes . just being in each others company is all we needed .

she pulled back from me and stared right into the windows of my soul . my eyes . she tilted her head and slowly leaned in . i closed my eyes and i met her halfway . she kissed me . slowly , and weak , but sweet and passionate . i could tell she was tired . she just wants a break .

"maybe i didn't deserve that , and maybe i am too good for him. but i know one thing i deserve and it's you ." she said while holding my face . "just look at what we've been through . it's amazing that you'd go this far for me . normally people probably would've not even thought of me and i would've died or something . but you actually care . and i am just so thankful to have someone like you in my life ." she said . and i felt everything she just said to me . i was just so speechless i didn't know what to say .

"i love you." i said . it felt so right . wow .

"i love you too ." she said back . she stared at me for a while and she smiled at me . "will you be my—" she started to say but the nurse walked in and interrupted .

"ladies good news . you're free to go !"
