Celestina's POV

Things don't always go the same way we thought it would. Life is unpredictable. You are living the dream and bash, you are in the twisted reality. When you bash into someone with coffee in your hand and it spills. Why did it spill? You might say cause the person bashed into you. Nope, that's not it. It spilled cause you had coffee in it. If it had tea, tea would have spilled. Why did I have this monologue? Cause I have been fooled. My thoughts were proved wrong.

We got ready in one hour! I mean dress choosing and makeup and done. That's it. In a hour. For all four girls. Well, in my family, some girls get ready to go to bed. Wear sleep makeup and appropriate nightwear. I don't get any of those shit. For sleeping, I need pillow and a bed. Who doesn't need it?

I will admit, we look good. Well, I always look good. I can't help it. It's my attractive genes. "So, we are done. In a hour." Carlotta dragged. I rolled my eyes. "Okay, we have some ground rules." I scoffed. "Okay, mom. Let me guess. No drugs. No getting pregnant. No drink and drive. Got it!" I cheered. She rolled her eyes at my sarcasm. She ever so slightly smirked. "These are new ground rules."

We walked together. Yes, walked. It was near my house. That's why they chose my house. It was all planned. Including the mentioning of the party. They are bunch of crazy cats. With heels. I hate this dress and heels and makeup. I hate my life. Okay, no. My life is the best. Just bad friends. I walked beside them, silently. A slight breeze whistled past me. It's rare to find this kind of peace even when I know I'm being dragged into a college party. I can handle alcohol well. I'm not sure about these three.

"Do you guys handle alcohol well?" I thought out loud.

Lucy shook her head. Her vibrant blue hair takes all the attention. At times, when she sees her hair, she almost goes into a panic attack. Carlotta shook her head as well. "I can't control. I never remember what happens after I drink. Lucy remembers everything." My eyes travelled to the person in the end. We both the end points of the line in which we were walking. Alena slightly clenched her jaw and shrugged to look nonchalant.

"How long?" Alena tried to change the subject. Her usual chirpy voice was gone replaced with desperation. Like always, Carlotta and Lucy never noticed. How she flinched everytime anyone mentioned anything family. How she tried to change the subject whenever it was family. Her mood deflates. How she avoids me. Why would I do anything? I might be curious but I'm not gonna force her say anything. "In five minutes."

We reached. It was different. I guess I can't judge anything with fantasy. It wasn't that cliché. A wide area with people. And food. And drinks, duh! The music was good. Most of them weren't half as bad as I thought. They seemed different after a good shot of drinks. I saw the others meet the guys. Okay, they looked okay, that's all. The girls complimented the guys. Everybody looked at me. Are they expecting something from me? "You guys look okay. Could do better."

They stared at me with a hard look. "That's a compliment coming from me. Suck it up." I deadpanned. They rolled their eyes and went off to mind their business. I was stuck with asshole for a whole awkward minute. I should know his name by now. But, nobody talks to him much. The football team calls him captain. Some people call him Williams. I don't know his fucking name. Wait. Even if I did, it's not gonna make a change, He is asshole for me.

"Don't take offense—" I started off. He dragged his sapphire eyes to mine. I hate sapphire. I hate sapphire. I hate blue. I hate football captain. I won't admit he looks hot. Done! "You look slightly retarded. Just a tad bit." I held up my fingers. He narrowed his eyes. "Planning on joining the cheerleader team? I heard they are missing their leader, Blondie." I am not gonna admit I deserved that. He started it a long time ago. All the blonde jokes. "Planning on joining the better comeback club? It might help." He smirked. I hate his smirk. I hate his face. Ugh! Why is it's so difficult? "Admit it. You were annoyed by it. That's my sole purpose."

"Okay, that's it! No fights!" Alena dragged me. "I left cause you people might actually get to know each other. You are tom and jerry. But worse. At times, tom and jerry help each other. But you guys. Nope, no, Nada. Zilch!" She exaggerated. "Why?" I just questioned. I ordered water. "It would make a good story for your children." She explained. "My children, not child, need to know about an asshole I fought with in college." I gave her judgmental look. I'm filled with those looks. Those are lifelines for me, very important.

I had ordered an orange juice for Alena. We both were about to take a swig from our drinks. It took a sentence to send people to jail. It took a sentence to accept life or death. It took her a sentence to ruin this party for me. "Why wouldn't they want to know about their father?" She casually mentioned as she sipped her drink. I choked on my drink.
