Celestina's POV
Class accelerated quickly. I sat there, counting down the seconds and minutes. 23 minutes and 34 seconds left or 1414 seconds. Time seems shorter with seconds. I tilted my head, letting my hair fall near my sides. I cautiously looked over, he wasn't looking at me. Good.
Bliss had been staring at me for the past 1140 seconds. Or 19 minutes. She is relentless, I'll give her that. I mean, Luca is next to me. She could stare at him, drool over him. 'Not that there is anything drool worthy about him.'
In between my mind battle, a paper slid next to my hand, poking me. I thought we all were old enough to not pass notes like little girls. I opened it, feeling annoyed. If it was Alena talking about carrots and newts, I will kill.
Stop staring, Celestina. Hasn't your mother taught you it's rude and absolutely not ladylike?
Kindly,
Luca (the one who you call asshole)I turned the paper around and wrote down my reply, forgetting my countdown till the end of class. I crumbled the paper and threw it at his face. Dang it, he caught it before it hit him.
I wasn't staring at you, I zoned off into space. Clearly, someone needs to learn to be humble. Sorry, my mother never got to the rules of life.
Not so kindly,
Celeste(the one you call Celestina)I could swear I saw him smile or maybe my eyes were playing with me, you know the light and everything. He responded pretty quickly.
I thought he would take the chance to chuck it but he didn't. I would have.
Admit it, my side profile had you dreaming. I'm not cocky, just confident. Your mother should have, you are clearly in need of lessons. It's never too late.
Sincerely,
Luca (isn't your name Celestina?)I could tell that the period was coming to an end. There is no way I would let him have the last word. I scrambled to write back.
You're having me confused with the rest of the girls in the college but your jawline could cut. Yeah, yeah, whatever floats your ship. It would be creepy if she gave me life lessons. I'm not into wise ghosts.
Not so sincerely,
Celeste (of course it is, your name is what? Asshole, right?")The bell rang and students rushed off so fast. I'm pretty the professor's feelings were hurt. She saw us still here. She shrugged it off and left abruptly. "I'm sorry about your mother." His voice was empathetic, not pitiful.
"Why? It's not like you or your family killed her." I said, not realizing.
"Family?" He questioned, slightly amused and curious. I shook my head, trying to cover up my slip.
"You know, we have a project to do on psychology." I changed the topic. He nodded, not commenting on my subject changing. "I know. I heard from Bliss." His tone was a bit hostile. I laughed a little. "Of course, you were the nerd she didn't want to be around. Poor her."
He narrowed his eyes, amused. "Right, poor her." He emphasised. "I could always switch with her. You know, give you love birds some time together." I battered my eyes, mockingly. He smirked. "I will kill you, I'm not kidding." I threw my hands in surrender. "Just asking."
"We'll meet up later to complete it." He continued. He should be asking..."If that's okay with you." Smart boy. "Sure, I want this torture to end." He looked up and smiled charmingly. "Feeling is mutual." He left quickly without another word.
