Celeste's POV

After the fiasco with my father, I turned off the TV. Geez, just because I cursed, he started lecturing about manners. Right, like he is going to change me even after these 19 years. Sigh. When is he going to learn?

I heard the main door opening with a soft click. "Hey, Alex." I hollered from the kitchen. "Why do you do this to me every time?" His deep voice reverberated throughout the house. "Um, greet you?" I asked questioningly.

"Like you don't know." He was now standing in the kitchen. I looked at him. I shook my head. "You always have to spoil surprises. You have to expose me every single time." A slight tight emphasis on 'every single time'.

My lips curled upward. I narrowed my eyes at him. I just want to bake or cook croissants peacefully. What did I do? He looked at me in distaste. "You told the twins about the baby." I sighed.

"I didn't know they didn't know but if I knew that I wouldn't let them know but I let them know now, I can't help not knowing nor can they not know now......" I halted when he screamed. "Silenzio!" He huffed like a raging bull.  "I didn't ask for cazzate."

"They have a right to know." He was trembling by now. "Yet, you don't realize it was none of your business." I spun on my heels as we both were chest to chest. He was towering over me though. Always an advantage for me. "If that's how it is, then you have no right to even talk to me. It's none of your business what I do."

He looked downcast and ashamed. "Tina...."

"Esci di qui." I commanded. He looked like he wanted oppose  He obliged and left the house. Of fucking course, he had to. My sigh and the ding of the oven was in sync. I lost my interest in eating my chocolate croissants.

I let go of my tight grip on the isle. I walked upstairs to my room. I laid down on my bed, wallowing in the heavy silence. My heavy breaths could be heard loud and clear. I slowly closed my eyes, feeling rather heavy.

                         ~~~~~~~~~~
"You shouldn't."
"Don't tell me what to do~" I said in a song song voice.
Laughter echoed throughout the room. I looked around, extremely scornful. It consisted of my family. Just younger. I looked down at myself, feeling very small.
"You manage to look cute yet again." I heard one of my aunt mutter. Ugh!
"Ugh, find another insult." I muttered back. Again the laughter.
"Celestina, manners." My father warningly said.
I sighed. "I just don't like them."
"Celestina...."
I ran away from the room, not wanting to listen to my father lecture me. I lost track of my way and ended up near the basement. "Tina..."
A smile automatically made its way to my face. I spun on heels as we both were chest to leg. I'm very short. He was towering above me.
"What happened this time? Called you a small child? Called you a bratty? Or called you cute?" Alex asked me with a rueful smile.
"You don't need to mock."
"Aw, come on. What are we if we don't mock each other?"
