Chapter 17
Tell 'em that it's my birthday
Tell 'em that it's my birthday
Tell 'em that it's my birthday
When I party like that
Every night's my birthday
They don't know, so it's okay
Tell 'em that it's my birthday
When I party like that
My alarm woke me up a week later.
It's my birthday. And I'm officially 15.
I rubbed my eyes for a little bit, jumped out of bed, then instantly regretted it. Basketball has been kicking my but for the past few days, so I'm sore all over.
My phone rang about .3 seconds later. It was Sasha.
"Happy Birthday Babe!" She screamed in my ear the minute I accepted the call.
"Thank you doll!"
"Your officially 15! OMG! Happy half-way to 30."
I giggled. "Thanks. I'll see you at school."
"Alright bye." She said, then hung up.
Shower time.
I walked to the bathroom and closed the door with a smile on my face. I stripped off my clothes and hopped in the shower, only to have Audrey appear behind her. I shrieked.
"Oh my God. You've got to stop doing that." I tried to cover my body with my hands when I realized there was no point, and I sighed.
"Sorry. I just wanted to tell you happy birthday."
"Thanks Audrey."
"No problem. See you later." And then she just disappeared into mid air.
My life is so weird.
I had been picking out my birthday outfit for months. A white and gold stripped dress with my shimmering gold Uggs. I couldn't wear heels because it snowed the other day and I wouldn't be able to walk through it. I honestly hate Forks. It's okay though because I was having a get together tonight and I could dress however I want. Even in heels. I put on my clothes then applied a smoky eye. I've been watching YouTube tutorials for weeks trying to learn how to do eye make up. The gold layer is what really set it off. Ella was beyond excited.
Today was her 15th birthday.
Ella hurried downstairs where Esme was making breakfast. She was making fluffy strawberry pancakes, turkey bacon, and boiled eggs, my favorite.
"Good morning, Ms. Esme. What is for breakfast?"
"Like you don't already know." Esme said without turning around. She pulled plate from the sink rack, and began piling pancakes on top of it. "Happy Birthday Ella."
"Thank you Esme. It feels good to be halfway to 30."
Esme chuckled. "I wouldn't think that far ahead Ella. Your still young."
"How old are you, Esme? How come you and Carlisle never have any of your own kids?" I could have sworn she paused before Alice and Jasper walked in.
"Happy Birthday Ella!" Alice screamed when she entered the kitchen. Followed by a very monotone, "Happy Birthday Ella," from Jasper.
"Thank you guys."
Esme turned around, and placed the breakfast plate right in front of me. She smiled at me and said, "Eat up." I picked up my knife and fork and began cutting into my pancakes.
