The rustling and conversations of the large gathering of Mindcrackers was the majority of the noise that filled the Mindcrack main hall.
"Attention!" Guude called.
The noise stopped entirely.
"As you may know, Aureylian has joined Mindcrack. We set up a ruse that she burnt down the bakery, which is NOT true. While she did burn down the theater, that was planned and she did rebuild the bakery. Now, we need someone to give her a tour, any volunteers?"
Earth shattering silence met his words. Most were to stunned to actually do anything other than gaps and whisper to their neighbor. Suddenly a gloved hand shot up. The crowd cleared enough to show Vechs.
"I volunteer as tribute." He called with a giggle.
"Well that's settled." Guude said, "Aureylian, Vechs will give you your tour. Meeting adjourned."
The crowd slowly subsided until only Vechs and Aureylian were left.
"Hi there!" Aurey giggled cheerfully, hoping off the little podium where she had been standing off to the side behind Guude during the meeting and skipping over to Vechs.
"Nice to meet you." Vechs said with a slightly evil lilt to his tone.
"I have something for you!" Aurey giggled.
She pulled out a pretty lilac colored flower.
"I found this on my way here. It's supposed to be really rare. I want you to have it as a thank you gift."
Vechs accepted the flower and looked at it in awe. He had heard of this flower. It was really rare. He was touched by the gesture. He had the tendency to be rather evil at times and such a gift was a rarity.
"Thank you very much." He said quietly.
"No problem, it's the least I could do." Aurey replies with a smile. "So, were to first?"
...
"And that's all the currently established structures we know of." Vechs said as they walked back into the heart if the town.
"Wowee! That was super cool! Thanks so much Vechs!" Aurey exclaimed, leaning forward and kissing Vechs on the cheek.
"I'll see you tomorrow!" She called, skipping off to her base.
Vechs touched his cheek. Two touching gestures. One day. The same girl. Vechs decided he liked Aureylian.
