While Vechs snored deep beneath the ground in his bed, Aurey unpacked her newfound supplies into a chest. At the bottom, she found a note. It read; Aurey, in the front pocket of this backpack is a gift for you. Hope you like it. Aurey opened the pocket and out popped a furry brown mass. It was the bat from earlier. A note was clutched in his paws. This one said; I have lots if these little guys and this one really likes you so I though that you might like to have him, Vetchus. She cuddled the little bat.

"It's getting dark buddy, we best head up to my house.

Then she hurried to her stained glass rainbow bridge. She claimed the ladders all the way to the top of her incomplete base. She flopped into her bed and snuggled up, wrapped in happy thoughts, her bat friend on the little table next to her bed, wrapped in a cloth. They both fell soundly asleep and joined Vechs in the world if slumber.

...

The next morning Aurey woke up and went to the communal bathroom to shower. When she returned she flopped back into her bed and grabbed her favorite book. She wanted to refresh her memory of it so she wouldn't forget the story that got her here. She flipped open the first page and started reading aloud so her bat friend could hear to.

"In 2009, a man known as Notch found the Book of Creation. He had been searching for it for years after seeing a vision of the technology obsessed future generations. The Book created a new world where everything was simpler. The world he created using the Book, which he named Minecraft and in which he is the god, as the Book made him, he recruited people who shared his vision of a better future where technology would be simple and life more adventurous and good for ones health for the most part. In this world, you can die, but you will come back. This is known as re-spawning. Your spawn is set when you sleep in the bed given to you when you come here. All the recruits are 23, no matter what age they were on earth. All scars, blemishes and any damage done to you on earth are fixed and removed, whatever is needed. Notch still watches over the world from time to time, but the other

god, Jeb watches over the people on Minecraft. There is a third god names Dinnerbone, who visits the island of Mindcrack often. We are thankful for the mostly peaceful world Notch has given us. Thank you for reading." Aurey finished quietly.

She had been recruited here to escape her life. After making sure her daughter was in good hands, she was transported away to escape all the past mistakes she had made. A tear rolled down her cheek just as someone knocked on her door. She wiped the tear away and got up to answer the door. She opened the door and there stood Vechs.

"Hey, I was wondering if you wanted help working on your base?" He asked shyly.

Aurey smiled.

"Of course, I need to finish the cloud and I could use the help."

...

"Few! That was a long day!" Aurey exclaimed, wiping her brow.

She and Vechs had been hard at work all day. When she glanced at the sky, she saw the sun was setting.

"Oh no! Its getting dark! There's no way I'm letting you go home in the dark! Something could kill you!"

Vechs shrugged.

"I'll just re-spawn." He said nonchalantly.

"But you will lose all your stuff."

"Your right." He said with a scowl.

"I guess we're having a sleepover!" Aurey squealed.

Vechs smiled.

"Seems so."

Aurey went and rifled through her chests until she found enough cloth and pillows so Vechs could have a comfy bed on the floor. Her room had a carpeted floor so it shouldn't be painful. Aurey carefully slid out the bed using the extra blankets and pillows to make a super comfy place to sleep. She walked over to a small counter and

grabbed two bowls of stew, a cake, two buckets if milk and some cookies.

When she came back, Vechs was lying comfortably in the bed she had assembled for him. She gave him a stew, a milk, five of the ten cookies and put the cake on her bedside table, not the one with her bat friend on it.

"What do you want to do?" Aurey asked

through a mouthful if stew.

"Well what does one do at a sleepover?" Vechs asked.

"Truth or Dare, Q & A ..." Aurey trailed off.

"Truth or Dare I guess." Vechs replied.

"Oh oh! Can I go first! Please, please!"

"Okay, if you insist." Vechs replied with a chuckle.

"Alright, Vechs, truth or dare?"

"Dare."

Aurey's face scrunched in concentration.

"Um, I dare you to tell me how long you've been here."

"Really? Ok well, I've been here for five years, since the beginning."

Aurey nodded understandingly.

"That make sense."

"Alright Aurey, truth or dare?"

"Truth." Aurey responded immediately.

"Why did you come here?"

Aurey shifted uncomfortably.

"I was trying to get away from my past. It was hard so I prayed to Notch and I was accepted. Of course, I did leave my daughter on earth so she could have an easier life and not be tainted by my past."

Once more, a tear trickled down Aurey's cheek. She looked down at her folded hands. Suddenly she a hand under her chin, tilting her head up. With his other hand Vechs wiped away the tear.

"Don't cry Aurey. It's ok now."

Of course more tears follow and she started full out sobbing. Vechs held her until the tears stopped.

"I'm really sorry." Aurey said quietly.

"You shouldn't be. Besides, even when your crying, your cute." He replied.

Then he bent down and kissed her on the forehead.

Aurey yawned.

"Tired?" Vechs asked.

"Yeah."

"Then let's go to bed."

Vechs made for the bed Aurey had made on the floor but a hand gripped his sleeve. He looked back at Aurey. She looked like a scared little kid. Vechs knew what she was going to ask before she did.

"Will you... stay with me?" She whispered.

The innocent look she had, scared, sad and tired won him over. He sighed inwardly, knowing he would never be able to deny her anything.

"Yeah." He mumbled.

She scooted over and he sat down. The bed was way to big for someone of Aurey's size. She was minuscule. Aurey curled up and Vechs lay next to her. Soon she fell asleep. Vechs thought of going over to the other bed but just then Aurey rolled over and wrapped both her arms around one of his. He sighed but he knew there was no escaping this, so he curled around her balled form and fell asleep as well.

Feedback will be sufficient for this third chapter chapter as well, please. That is all I ask.
