Chapter 17

There was a buzz going through the MindCrack community. It was a month after Vechs had proposed to Aurey. Aurey had the slightest bump now, confirming her pregnancy. Aurey was now seen in her tank top and shorts once more and with her ring dangling around her neck on a diamond chain. She hadn't wanted to risk loosing it by wearing it around her finger and had spent a week forging the chain out of one of most durable, unbreakable materials in all of MindCraft. Aurey was also having tons of fun planning her wedding. Vechs had given up all planning duties to Aurey. Aurey of course had Genny at her side to help plan the event. Aurey was glad for the help because she needed a even slight masculine influence, just for Vechs. Aurey and Genny stayed up late eating cookies and other baked goods, drinking milk and getting high on their excitement for event. Aurey felt like she was a teenager again because of all the sleepovers and late night planning sessions she was having. It was great. Vechs was just glad that Aurey was happy.

Aurey and Genny spent days picking a location for the wedding. The settled on a open area with lots of flowers. The next step was to build a platform and enough chairs for everyone. Oh and paint them white. The men of MindCrack did that, not letting Aurey in on it at all. Supervised by Genny, they built the setting of the wedding. By the time that was done, another two months had passed. The only set date for the wedding was gwen the prepping and setting up was done. Aurey decided to cook the meal for after the wedding in advance. She did it in secret so there would be no objections. She stored the food in her enchanted chests. Not only did they keep the food warm or cold, depending on whichever needed, it they also kept it fresh. The final steps were to bake the cake, visit a village to find a priest and sew the dress and a suit for Vechs. Aurey made the suit and Vechs made the dress which help from Genny. Aurey had taught Genny to sew a while back.

A group of the boys went to find the priest and returned successfully.

The last thing to do was bake a cake.

Aurey was not allowed to bake the cake. She was now seven months* along. Aurey was, however, aloud to make the batter and icing. The boys assembled and iced the cake without Aurey seeing it once.

On the day of the ceremony, Aurey woke up about four hours before the ceremony. When she woke up, Vechs wasn't there. She knew that he had been up late with the boys having their bachelor party. Aurey yawned and went to take a bath. She stripped and hit the button that would pour water that had been hearing over a fire into the tub. It also refilled the bucket. She grabbed a small pail of cold water and poured a small amount into the bath to cool it down. Then Aurey slipped into the barb with a sigh; it felt nice.

After her bath, Aurey dried herself and put her underclothes back on. She walked back into her bedroom were Genny sat blindfolded.

"Um, what's with the blindfold Genny?" Aurey asked her friend.

"Vechs made me promise to wear it until you put the dress on." He admitted.

Aurey giggled.

"Oh Vechsy." She sighed.

Then Aurey turned her gaze to the dress sitting on her bed. It was beautiful. White with flower petal designs stitched along the top. That and their were cakes stitched along the bottom. Aurey carefully slid into the dress.

"Genny, can you button it up?" Aurey whined, annoyed she couldn't do it herself.

Generik pulled the blindfold off and gasped.

"You look... like a goddess." He said in awe. "As your best female friend**, I'm saying Vechs is a lucky guy."

Aurey blushed.

"Thanks Genny. Now about those buttons..?"

Generik quickly buttoned up the back of the dress.

"Now for your hair!" Genny giggled. "This is going to be so much fun!"

...

"Are you done yet?" Aurey asked slightly impatiently, her hands resting on her largely protruding belly.

"Yep. Now let's get up out their girl, it's your big day."

When Vechs say Aurey waking down the aisle, escorted by Bdubs, he had to make a conscious effort to keep from gaping. Normally, Aurey was beautiful. Today she was stunning. Her hair done in an elaborate bun, wearing the dress he and Generik had made, a bouquet of pink tulips clutched in her petite hands. Aurey reached the slightly raised podium and stepped up. Bdubs put Aurey's hand in Vechs and went to take his seat next to his wife. Aurey looked up into Vechs blue eyes and saw an immense joy. The priest then began the ceremony.

"Do you Aurey take Vechs to be your husband for the entirety if eternity?"

"I do." Aurey answered, tears of happiness streaking down her cheeks.

"Do you Vechs take Aurey to be your husband for the entirety if eternity?"

"I do." Vechs voice rung out.

"Then I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Aurey threw her arms around Vechs neck and kissed him with as much passion as was accepted in public. Vechs wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back. When they broke apart, there was a loud cheer.

Aurey turned and blushed, realizing that she had just kissed Vechs in front of all their friends. Vechs removed one of his arms but left the other as they turned to accept the congratulations that were coming their way.

"Vechs you look great in that suit." Aurey commented later as they were waiting for the cake to be unveiled. Vechs was wearing a red shirt, black tie and a white shirt and Aurey loved it on him.

"And you look fabulous in that dress." He responded.

She giggled. Then their was a loud amount of throat clearing. The couple looked over and saw that the sheet in front of the cake was being removed. When the sheet was gone, Aurey gasped and giggled more. That cake was the oddest Aurey had ever seen. There was three uneven layers covered thick amounts of icing that were also uneven. Guude spoke up.

"It was not look amazing but Aurey made the batter and icing so you know it will taste great." He said.

Vechs laughed.

'I have a great "family"!' Aurey thought.

After cake, dinner and a few gifts, the newly-weds flopped into their bed, exhausted.

"That was a long day." Aurey murmured.

"It was also a great day." Vechs whispered back.

*Yes it took that long to plan the wedding.
