Chapter 13

Another two months passed. The world border was at 2000 by 2000 and it's progression was slowing to 2 meters a day. Aurey and Vechs had moved their house do they were not to close to the town but not to far away. Aurey was now 5 and a half months along and her stomach had a more defined bump. The size was to big for one child so it was assumed she was having twins. The fact that this was the first pregnancy in MineCraft history, due to people being unsure how it would turn out, had cause so much excitement that Aurey was being brought back to earth for a check up. Vechs of course came along, not just because he was the father but because he never left Aurey's side now.

Back on earth, the went to a clinic that had an ultrasound machine. When Aurey's name was called she bounced up. She was so excited!

The look on the nurse's face told Vechs what she was about to say.

"I'm so sorry. There isn't a heart beat, in either of them." The woman told them.

The look on Aurey's face was devastating.

"B-But I didn't-"

"This wasn't your fault dear. Miscarriages happen all the time."

Vechs wrapped his arms around Aurey. Tears were streaking down her face and her hands were over her mouth. Vechs heart broke for her and because their babies were...

When Vechs and Aurey got back, the others were waiting. One look at Aurey's face told them all. The way Vechs arms were rapped protectively around her told them that the two needed to be alone. Vechs and Ayrey walked away and left the others to converse.

"This is terrible. Aurey's heart must be broken." Generik said softly.

"Yeah and Vechs' to. And he just accepted he was going to be a father." Bdubs addded.

In their house, beneath the ground, Aurey sobbed in Vechs arms. The worst part was that she was going to have to give birth to the babies. So not only were they dead, she was going to have to see what she lost and look at their lifeless bodies.

"Why?" Aurey sobbed.

"I don't know Aurey. I really don't."

This is a short chapter but I wanted to keep the amount of terrible grief to a minimum. To be honest, I almost cried while I was writing this. The next chapter is going to be sad as well so you have been forewarned. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go cry.
