Vechs didn't see Aurey for a week after the prank. The first time he got any word from her was by bat. The note attached, which was written in Aurey's curly script, read; Dear Vetchy, I have a surprise for you at the mansion. If you can, please drop by to see it. I'll be waiting :) -Aurey. So of course Vechs, who was slowly realizing his true feelings for Aurey, hurried to his Nether portal room to take the another portal to the mansion.
...
Aurey was really excited for Vechs to see what she made him. It fit perfectly with him she hoped he liked it. When she saw him materialize in the portal and walk forward, she ran at him and hugged him really tight. He chuckled and returned the hug.
"Miss me?" He asked teasingly.
"Of course, your my best friend." Aurey giggled.
It hurt her to say that. She knew how she felt. She liked Vechs a whole helluva lot more than just friends. Not that she was going to tell him He probably didn't even feel slightly the same.
...
Being friend zoned hurt. Vechs wanted to scowl at her saying that but he didn't. He was not showing he cared like that 'cause it could ruin their friendship. She probably didn't even feel slightly the same.
...
"Come on!" Aurey giggled, pushing her earlier feelings off.
She latched onto Vechs and dragged him over to a small staircase.
"This is your dungeon." Aurey said, pointing to a sign that said it was Vechs basement and that nothing was weird here.
She pulled Vechs down the stairs.
...
Vechs was touched Aurey had done this for him. Maybe it was because he was partially a big softie or because... well yeah.
"See, the coffee table, I made it like the island in your house. There are your flowers." Aurey said excitedly, pointing at a small two by two glass area inlaid in the floor. Vechs peered inside it and saw another two by two area with two yellow flowers diagonally opposite of each other.
"Oh and behind this "painting" which is actually a curtain, is something special." Aurey told him, motioning to one if the two paintings in the room.
Vechs pushed the curtain aside and saw a lever. He flipped it and a secret door opened. He walked into the room. There was a chest and some shackles on the wall. Vechs peered into the chest and saw some random crap.
"Sooo," Aurey asked. "How do you like it?"
"It's amazing, all of it! Thank you!" He exclaimed.
He picked Aurey up and twirled her around. When he set her down she was blushing and flustered.
"Y-Your welcome." She said with a slight stutter, still dizzy from being spun.
"You know what Vechs?" Aurey asked. "You are so adorabolical!"
"Adora-what?" Vechs questioned, confused.
"Adorabolical. Adorable and diabolical." Aurey explained.
"Ohhh." Vechs replied.
...
Aurey reached up on tiptoes and, before she lost the burst of courage, kissed Vechs on the cheek. Then she turned to run.
...
Not this time, Vechs thought. He grabbed Aurey's shoulder. She made a cute squeaking noise.
"Let me go!" She cried, struggling.
"Why do you always kiss me and run away?" He asked. "Do you know how annoying it is for me? I wonder if you just like me as a friend or as something more. It's so damn confusing Aurey. I'm so confused about you."
Tears rolled down Aurey's cheeks.
"I'm sorry. To be honest, I'm confused myself. I don't know how I feel. The past is... making it hard to be sure. I don't want to make a mistake." Aurey sobbed.
Vechs put his arms around the shaking woman.
"Aurey, I shouldn't have been so.... abrupt. I understand the past being confusing, even hurtful. But Aurey, I like you. And while you may say that it's obvious because we are friends, I like you so much more than that. So, maybe don't... kiss me until you are sure."
Aurey's glittered beneath the coating if wetness. She leaned forward ever so slightly until their lips were less than and inch apart.
"I've been sure for quite awhile, I just didn't know about you." She whispered.
Then she pressed her lips to his cheek softly and got up.
"I'll see you later." She murmured
Then Aurey walked out. Vechs plunked down onto the couch. He was so bothered by that scarlet haired woman, and not in an annoyed way, more in an extremely attracted way. If you catch my drift. After a while, Vechs got up and left. He knew he had to face Aurey sooner of later, but later was looking good.

Just a quick fact. The flower Aurey gave Vechs in the beginning of this story was an Allium. In Aureylian's Mindcrack series, the first episode she did with Vechs, she presented him with an Allium. Truthfully, I had long forgotten that by the first chapter of this story and the other day I remembered and even took the precious time check the truth in my hunch. I thought that that little tidbit might have been of some interest. Good day.
