Shoto
"Shoto!" I yelled, trying to catch the attention of the said male below as he turned his head to me slightly, making eye contact.
"Give it all you've got! I'm gonna see you soon in the finals! You promised me that you'd win!"
"Thank you, Shiro."
Watching as Cementoss prepared to repair the broken arena again -poor guy, probably has to do this every year- I got up from my seat, walking towards my prep room through the silent hallways.
"So, I'm up against Iida, huh..." I muttered to no one in particular, my eyes staring at my feet as I continued to walk through the empty -or so I thought- halls of the whole stadium in search of the prep room.
"Shiro." A sudden voice snapped me out of my thought, making me look up and instantly burst into red.
"Holy shi- Sh-Shoto...! H-Hi... Uh... why are you half shirtless..." I mumbled, averting my eyes to anything but his figure which was right in front of me, my cheeks burning with red blush.
"These gym clothes weren't exactly fire-resistant." He said, still not bothered about my flustered state as he clearly did not mind being shirtless inside an arena filled with teenagers and hormonal single old ladies.
"R-right... Anyway, did you need something? I really should be mentally preparing myself for the next battle." I calmed myself down, mustering up my courage and looking back at him as he stared down at me.
"Good luck with your battle, Shiro. Like you said, we promised to meet in the finals." A small smile appeared on his lips, his eyes seeming to have a new shine to them after the battle from before as he stepped closer.
"Thanks, Shoto. I'll try to hold onto that promise, then I'll be kicking your ass later and snatch that first place under your perfect nose." I joked, poking his chest -the covered up side- playfully before realising my words, my hands immediately over my mouth as blood rushed up my ears and cheeks.
"'Perfect nose'?" He teased, raising an eyebrow at me which made me look away in more embarrassment, my words tumbling out of my mouth in a mess.
"Don't judge me! I mean, you are good looking- God, why did I say that? Anyway, -j-just to every female student and hormonal single creepy lady here, you just so happen to be one of the better looking ones in this place." I mentally fell into an abyss of my own anxiety and insecurity as I said those words, hanging myself in my own mind.
As I was going through my own crisis, something I did not think I would ever hear in my life rang in my ears.
Todoroki laughed. The cold-hearted, emotionless, and possibly trained England Royal Guard -hey, have you seen those guys? They never even blink- Shoto Todoroki just laughed.
And not just those short laughs that are forced because 'your-friend-told-a-stupid-joke-that-wasn't-funny-but-you-have-to-for-the-sake-of-their-dignity' kind of laughs, it was literal full on hysteric laugh 'that-makes-you-clutch-your-stomach-and-make-everyone-look-at-you-like-you're-some-weirdo' kind of laugh.
