Hands of a Villain

"Shiro...?" Their gaze turned to where Shoto stood, the smile widening even more -if it were possible- as they spotted him there. He couldn't believe what was in front of him, this couldn't be her.

"Shiro's gone...-" They said, the distorted voice sending dreadful chills up his spine as he looked into the eyes of the person he once knew, but all he saw in them were a void of nothing. "-What's left is just me, Kurayami."

Shoto could feel the plummeting drop of his own heart down to his gut. No, this wasn't possible, he kept telling himself. There was no way that she's gone already, someone he knew to be so strong, so level-headed, someone who he acknowledged to be stronger than himself. There was just no way she'd gone.

"Is wittle Shoto sad that his girlfriend's gone?" She- no, that monster mocked, the smile still on their face as they eyed him.

"W-what did you do to Shiro?!" Midoriya demanded, flinching when their eyes landed on him with such a stare, how the glow seemed to be digging at your soul and taking the life from it.

"Oh honey, it wasn't my fault at all! It was her's for being weak!" Those words made Shoto's blood boil, for all that was worth, Shiro was strong, not weak.

"The fuck you say she's weak, bitch! A pipsqueak maybe, but she ain't some half-assed bastard!" He could already hear the crackling of explosions coming from Bakugo's hands, and also a hard glare directed at his back during the last statement.

"This is cute and all, but enough with the talking." A dark orb pulsed and shrivelled with energy in their clawed tips, the power that came from it increasing by the second as Shoto and the rest stayed on alert.

A rough wind blew through the clearing they were in, bringing up leaves and burnt ashes from the fire within the forest.

"It's high time you guys go." The distorted voice got louder and even more harder to make out her voice anymore, Shoto could feel that Shiro's presence was getting fainter and fainter.

Before he could blink, the half covered face of Shiro got up close, now right in front of him.

And just after that moment, searing pain burned through his side, his feet leaving the dirt while he was thrown off, hitting a tree as he slumped down in pain.

Groaning from the new pain from his back after the impact with the tree, he winced at the bloodied sight of his side, where three large slashes were made, veins of black and glowing white lacing into his skin, crawling and growing from the where gashes were.

Shoto worried about the mysterious veins that appeared on under his skin, but he couldn't let that stop him now. So, he hovered his right palm over the area where the wound was, calling upon his Quirk as a sheen of clean ice covered it, stopping anymore blood from flowing and numbing the pain to an underlying sting.
