Sheer Pressure
"I wouldn't dream of it." I answered, nuzzling my head into the crook of his neck with the smile still not leaving.
'He's still the same boy I met in the park.'
It was already a couple of days since I had visited the Bakugo Household and rekindled my friendship with Bakugo.
Currently I was at home, myself seated in the living room with Keii on my lap, my hand holding a book about the History and Eras of Heroes.
"Wait, so this Hero called "Messiah" practically held some elemental otherworldly Quirk?" Scrunching my nose after reading the text, I glance up at Todoroki who nodded at my question.
Right, I forgot. Todoroki was also at my house, seated on the small cushion across me with his own book on hand.
"Yes, her Quirk was so powerful that no one could surpass her. It was recorded that her Quirk was the most powerful power in history." He explained, flipping his book to the next page without even glancing at it for another second.
"Not even All Might then?" At this, Todoroki shrugged his shoulders, not knowing the answer.
"No, it's been said that her power came from her ancestors, who were masters of their Quirks. The Kyuseishu family line." He read out, placing his book on the table to point at the small picture of a family holding a banner with a symbol.
"Hey, isn't that symbol from some old fairy tale legend? The one with the nine clans?" Looking at the symbol more intently, I recognise the familiar swirls that made up blooming petals.
"Probably. But this isn't a fairy tale. Her power is not taken lightly in that era."
"So where is she now? Is she even alive?" I questioned, reading through the passage in my book at this historian's date of birth.
"No one knows. She's been missing since." Todoroki said, sighing and picking up the cup of tea on the table and taking a sip from it.
Stroking a hand through Keii's fur, I set my own book down, deciding to take a little break before returning my head into studies.
Hearing my cat purr from the treatment he was getting, I let out a smile and continue stroking him.
"You cat is truly a house cat that loves attention." Todoroki spoke up, his eyes on the small feline on my lap as said animal curled up and gave another purr.
"I guess. You would've never guessed the Quirk he has if you're not the one keeping him." I chuckle, picking Keii up and cradling him in my arms gently.
"He holds a Quirk?" His expression held one of mild surprise and amazement for the cat in my arms.
"Yep, a sort of transformation type Quirk. Increases instincts, size, and fierceness." Looking up from Keii, I give a smile towards Todoroki, who nodded from my explanation.
