Be Safe
The deep pounding of my own heart rang in my ears, seeming to fill my head with worrying thoughts as my mismatched eyes stole glances at the girl in front of me.
'What am I feeling towards you...?'

"You've got your costumes, right? Wearing them in public is strictly prohibited, but don't drop them." Aizawa questioned, hands in his pockets as our whole class stood in front of him, cases and other things in hand.
"Yeahhh!" Ashido grinned, herself being in front of the group while Aizawa continued on. "All of you, be on your best behaviour. Now go! And don't slur your 'yeah', Ashido." He reprimanded, causing said girl to slump at being told off.
At the sight of Aizawa finally letting us go, the rest of the class start to burst into chatter, awaiting for their trains to arrive while I stood by the side, one hand holding the case of my Hero Costume while the other held on the slung backpack behind me.
"Kurayami! Remember to get something from Europe for me!" Hagakure chirped, waving frantically at me before stepping into her own train, myself giving a weak wave back.
"My train's here as well, Shiro-chan. I'll see you in a week. Have fun and good luck!" Yaoyorozu wrapped her arms around me for a quick hug, myself returning it with a smile until we let go, waving goodbye as she boards her train.
After a few more minutes, most of my class mates had already boarded their trains and departed for their chosen agencies and cities, only a few remained which included myself and Todoroki.
Hearing the chime of alerting that our train was approaching, I look over at him as we make eye contact, exchanging nods as we head into the arrived train, finding seats soon after.
It was silence for the start of the ride, neither of us daring to break the awkward silence around us as we merely sit there tensely.
"Shiro."
"Shoto."
The both of us look at one another in shock, having called each other at the same time as my cheeks reddened, giving him the chance to talk first.
"I just wanted to say good luck on your internship in Europe. It must be nice being able to return to your home." Todoroki said, looking away from me and down at his hands, myself smiling slightly.
"Hmm, I guess that'd be nice to imagine. But to be honest, it's kinda lonely there all by myself." I hummed, looking out at the rolling green by the window for a brief while before returning to look at Todoroki.
"My parents are always working all day since they're Heroes and stuff. And I don't have any siblings at home with me at all. All I ever did back when I was there was go to school, come home, and train or study." Confessing my boring life, I let out an embarrassed chuckle at the memories of being alone at home.
"I mean, at least you have siblings and stuff." Sighing at myself for completely ruining the mood, I failed to notice Todoroki's gaze on me.
"I was never allowed to be with my siblings. My father always ordered me to use that time to train an get stronger." Hearing his words caused me to snap my eyes to him, himself looking back at me with his own mismatched eyes.
"Your dad really is a prick huh? Always going on about how he wanted to defeat All Might or something. And since he couldn't do it himself, he went through all that trouble for a Quirk Marriage to get you." Noticing my own words, my eyes widen as I try to change my wording, nervous gestures filling me.
"Ah-! Wait, that sounded rude- what I meant was... He's just super power hungry and a bastard to his kids! Yeah! I didn't mean to say that you're just something he made as a tool- no! You're better than him in so many other way, and I-" Ranting about continuously, I finally glance at his face to see his smile, seizing my blabbering mouth.
"I knew what you meant, Shiro. But thank you, I guess. Your dad doesn't seem to have any sort of negative thoughts or intention for you." Todoroki mentioned, making me nod with a smile as I speak.
"Nope. He wasn't forced into a Quirk Marriage or anything with my mom or vice versa. They said they've known each other since high school.-" I chuckled, remembering something that both my parents told me say whenever someone asked of their relationship. "-They have this cheesy line. They said that the saying 'Opposites Attract' really is true."
After a few more minutes of endless conversation, the notice comes on from the intercom announcing the arrival of my stop.
"Ah, it's time I jump off now." I sighed, gathering slinging my backpack on and getting up from my seat, Todoroki following as the train starts to slow down.
"It's gonna be weird not having you around all the time. I just got so used to hanging out in school with you." I smiled, looking up at him as I scan his face, taking in his features that I had come familiar with.
The odd yet similar dual-coloured hair of red and white that fell to his ears, with that distinctive split right in the middle of the contrast. Both milky yet cold colours of his eyes that showed the same kindness in them.
That smile that had been showing much more lately, something that made my heart flutter and stomach to flip every time it shows. And the scar that placed on the left of his face, I couldn't imagine an image of how he would look like without that scar, it would just seem so unfamiliar if it weren't.
All of him just felt so familiar.
"It's only a week, Shiro. We'll see each other soon." Todoroki chuckled, his own smile beaming down at me with an almost loving way.
"I have to go.-" Glancing at the now opened doors, I smile at Todoroki one last time. "-I'll see you soon, Shoto."
Circling my arms around his neck, I bring myself enough courage to hug him, the embrace lasting only a second before I let go, Todoroki not having enough time to react to it as I look at him.
"Don't get hurt, okay?" He said, stopping me from unwrapping my arms from his neck, his own hands cupping my cheeks while I rolled my eyes at him.
"We're Heroes. Pain is practically our breakfast. I really am gonna go now, Shoto.-" Smiling at him, I turn my head and place my lips by his cheek, strands of his hair brushing my own as I turn back. "-Bye."
Hurriedly letting go of my hold on his neck, I dash out of the train, waving once more to him as the train finally closes its doors.
-x- Third Person View -x-
Both of the bi-colour haired teens went their separate ways. Shiro Kurayami having found her own seat in the plane she had checked into; while Shoto Todoroki sat in the train, the seat next to him empty as the world whizzed by for the both of them.
'Be safe, Shiro.'
'Be safe, Shoto.'
