Carl
I stormed out of my chaotic house and went into the backyard. Fiona and Debbie were arguing about who knows what and it was annoying the hell out of me. On top of that, Franny was screaming her lungs out over a broken toy. I hopped into the van and shut the door. I searched through the small space and found my stash of weed.
Fuck yeah.
I took out a joint I'd already rolled and a lighter. I placed the J between my lips and lit it, blowing a bit of smoke out. I laid there in thought for a while, taking hits.
Is water wet? Why do we wash towels if we use them once we're clean? Are snakes just tails with faces?
My thought train was interrupted when I someone knocked on the van door. I turned my head to look at it but kept still. The door was pulled open and Debbie peeked in.
"Jesus, Carl," she said with annoyance all over her face, fanning smoke away. I just started to laugh at her. She rolled her eyes, "Fiona said she's ready to go now."
"Shit," I muttered while sitting up.
"I'll just tell her you're too stoned to work today," Debbie said, getting ready to shut the door.
"No, no, tell her I'm sick."
"$10," she deadpanned. I groaned and pulled two five dollar bills out of my pocket. She took the money from me. "Hmm, 'sick' it is then." She shut the door and within a few minutes I was asleep.
I woke up to my phone ringing. I sat up and struggled to get it out of my pocket. Cailee was calling me.
"Hello?" I rasped into the phone.
"Hey baby, where are you?" she asked, concerned. Dammit, I'd forgotten she was on the schedule that day too.
"Shit, I'm sorry. Fiona and Debbie were arguing and Franny was throwing a another fit, so I lit up and passed out in the van," I prepared myself for the scolding I knew I was gonna get. Cailee just sighed into the receiver.
"You have to stay clean now, Carl. You can't get into the police academy if you can't pass the drug test."
"I'm not going to the academy for another year, Cailee."
"Better to break the habit now. I gotta get back to work, I'll talk to you later," She hung up without saying she loved me, which was how I knew she was upset. I sighed and got out of the van.
Cailee
My shift finally ended and I clocked out. I called my Aunt to come get me and waited outside, just enjoying the fresh air. A text from Carson lit my phone up.

Having a little get together for my b-day next week, come throughI furrowed my brow and sent a text back.
Auntie's okay with that?
I took a sip of my water and another text came through.

Won't be home, you know she doesn't care about my birthdayIt was true. Carson had a mom that didn't even claim her half of the time, while Aubrey and I had an Aunt that treated us like we were her own. It just wasn't fair. I texted her back saying I'd be there and Aunt Lily pulled up to take me home.

"Geez, it's even heavier than it looks," I groaned trying to lift Aubrey's broken leg up onto the table.
"Looks to me like you could use the workout, noodles," Aubrey snickered. I gasped and tickled her foot. "Stop! You know I can't move my foot away!" she pleaded. I stuck my tongue out and tossed her the TV remote. I grabbed her dinner out of the kitchen and put it on a tray, placing it on her lap. She thanked me and I kissed the top of her head.
I made my way upstairs and into the bathroom. I stripped my clothes off and hopped in the shower. The hot water felt like heaven against my skin. Once I was all clean, I stepped out and wrapped a towel around myself. I made my way into my room and shut the door before turning the light on.
"What the fuck, Carl?!" I shrieked.
"I tried calling but you didn't answer, so I just climbed in and saw your phone on the bed," he shrugged. I sighed and went into my drawer to find something to sleep in. I found a big T-shirt and some boyshorts. I dropped the towel, earning a smirk from Carl. He got up and reached for my waist but I swat his hand away.
"Uh-uh. This is punishment for earlier," I said with a smirk and he pouted. "And I bet you won't do it again, now."

Weed, or making love to my beautiful girlfriend? I choose option number two.
I shook my head quickly, "Nope."
"Good," she said while slipping her shirt on, "Guess I'll skip the undies." She put her underwear back into the drawer and flicked her bedside lamp on before jumping into the bed. I watched her, basically drooling. She smirked again and asked me to turn off the big light. The room was dimly lit now and my shadow was cast on the wall.
"Come here," Cailee whispered. I took my clothes off, leaving me in boxers, and climbed into bed with her. "Turn out the light." I turned off the lamp and wrapped my arms around her, nuzzling my head into the back of her neck.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too."
We drifted off to sleep in no time.

I opened my eyes slowly and breathed in as I stretched my free arm, the other being trapped under Cailee. It was still dark out and I couldn't see a thing. I could feel a thing though. That thing was morning wood. I cursed at myself and laid there, hoping for it to go down. After a few minutes I sighed quietly and just tried to go back to sleep.
"It's poking me," Cailee groaned. My eyes widened and I shifted away from her body. "No, no, I want it to," she said, turning to face me and freeing my arm. I couldn't see her but I knew a smirk was plastered on her pretty face. I scoot back over.
She put her leg over my hip and pulled me closer. The next thing I know she was guiding me inside of her. We both let out sighs as I pushed all the way into her.
"You're soaked," I rasped.
"Woke up wanting you," We were always in sync, even in our slumbers. She was just as ready for me as I was for her. And I fucking loved that.
I found her lips, kissed her passionately, and started pumping slowly.
