Carl

I was outside of the house when Cailee called me.

"Hey baby, how were your classes?" I asked excitedly.

"They went well. You talk to Debbie about the job thing?"

I walked up the front stairs and sat on the porch. "Yep, she sent me the details for that job at the parking structure. $14 an hour. I applied already."

"That's great! Let's hope you get an interview soon," I could hear the smile in her voice.

"Let's hope. You almost home?"

"Actually yeah, but that's what else I wanted to talk about."

"Okay, shoot."

She cleared her throat, "Okay, so I have a class with this guy named Hunter and we were assigned to do a project together, writing about each other's summer-"

"A guy named Hunter?"

"Yes, Carl. A guy named Hunter. But listen," she continued. "We talked about the biggest things that happened over the summer for us."

"Uh-huh?" I honestly could care less about some college guy who was spending time with my girlfriend.

"Long story short, I showed him a picture of you and Debbie, and he thinks Debbie's beautiful. So I'm gonna introduce them tonight."

So he was spending time with my girlfriend and trying to get with my sister? I wanted to meet the guy now.

"Carl?" Cailee called, snapping me back into reality.

"Oh, uh, that's cool I guess."

"You guess? Hold on, I'm about to pull up," Within a few seconds she was in the driveway. Cailee waved for me to get in. I got up and hopped into the passenger seat, not saying anything. "You ok? You were just excited like 3 minutes ago."

"I'm fine," I kinda lied.

"Carl, look at me," She put her hand on my arm.

I sighed, "I don't know if I like this Hunter guy."

Cailee rolled her eyes, "Is that really what's bothering you?" I nodded and she scoffed. "You don't even know him. He's literally just my classmate... Plus he's into Debbie."

"Great, so he wants to fuck my sister then?"

She frowned, "Why do you care about who Debbie fucks all of a sudden?"

"I don't," I deadpanned. Cailee shook her head and started the car again.

"Seatbelt," she reminded me. I buckled up and we headed to my house.

Cailee

Carl and I arrived at the Gallagher residence and strolled in.

I was slightly annoyed with him. I mean, why was he so bent up over someone he didn't even know? I put that thought aside and searched the house for Debbie while Carl plopped onto the sofa.
