Carl

A Few Weeks Later
75 Days Until Basic

"Alright, that's it for today," Ian said, handing me my water bottle.

I sat up from the floor and wiped the sweat off of my brow before taking the water. Ian had worked me to death, just like he had been doing almost every day for weeks.

"I'm gonna shower and head home," I said as I stood up and grabbed my duffel. Ian said "Okay," and I headed upstairs.

Cailee

"He acts like he's gonna break me when we have sex, Debs," I sighed.

"Well, how many times have you done it since she's been born?"

"Three times. We got the go-ahead from the doctor last week. The first time was awkward, and a little uncomfortable. The second and third times went better, and I liked how slow we took it. But now I just want my Carl back. The one that bends me over the-"

"-Okay, ew, no. Spare me those details," Debbie cringed. "Just do whatever gets him the most worked up, I guess. And be safe!"

"I got the IUD before I left the hospital. I learned my lesson the first time," I reassured her.

"Good. So when is Carl coming home anyway?"

"After Ian is done with him," I chuckled. "Should be in an hour or two. Do you mind coming to get Cody later? For when Carl and I, y'know."

"Sure. Everyone will be happy to see her for a couple of hours."

"Thanks, Debs," I pulled her in for a hug.

"No problem, sis," She got up and grabbed her jacket, "I'll be back in a few."

Carl

I unlocked the house door and strolled in, closing it behind me. Cailee was sitting on the couch, watching TV.

"Hey, baby," I said and she turned around in her spot. I went up and pecked her lips.

"Hey, how did training go today?"

"Ian was in a good mood, so he was less hard on me. I am tired though," I said. Ian had a tendency to work me harder when he was pissed off. "Cody asleep?"

"Yeah, put her down like 20 minutes ago."

"Alright. I'm gonna go take a nap," I kissed her forehead, "I love you."

"I love you too," she said... smirking? I didn't really think much of her expression because I was exhausted. I went to our room and changed into some pajama pants and a plain T-shirt. I glanced over at Cody and smiled before getting in bed and going to sleep myself.

Cailee

As soon as Carl got to sleep, Debbie came to pick the baby up.

I sat at the edge of the bed, listening to Carl's soft snores, just wondering what I could do to get him 'worked up,' as Debbie said. I still had no good ideas after a few minutes, so I decided to do something more productive and put my 'plan' on hold.

I washed all of the clothes in the dirty clothes hamper. As soon as they finished washing, I got a notification on my phone. It was an email from one of my professors about an assignment I had to turn in.

"Fuck, that's due today?!" I panicked. I put my phone away and quickly threw all of the clothes into the dryer, turning it on the highest setting. I ran upstairs, found my laptop in a matter of seconds, and started on the assignment.

Carl

When I woke up again, I felt a lot better. I got out of bed and looked in Cody's crib like I always did, but she wasn't in it. I jogged downstairs and looked around for Cailee. I found her sitting at the kitchen island on the laptop.

"Baby, where's Cody?" I asked, getting her attention. She stopped typing and looked up at me.

"Debbie has her. Wanted to take her to see everyone," she answered. "Oh, and can you get the clothes out of the dryer for me?"

"Oh, okay. And yeah, sure," I opened the basement door and jogged downstairs. I grabbed the hamper and opened the dryer. I was throwing the clothes into the hamper up until I came across my formal military school uniform.

She'd put it in the fucking dryer? Each piece was about three sizes smaller. I grabbed it and stormed upstairs.

Cailee

Carl stomped up the stairs and slammed the basement door, making me jump in my seat and look at him wide-eyed. He had something balled up in his hand and he looked pissed.

"Cailee, what the fuck?" he nearly yelled, holding up a tinier version of his formal uniform. "Some of my military school shit shrunk. I told you not to put them in the dryer!"

"Carl, I didn't mean for that to happen," I said.

He gripped the uniform tighter in his hand, "You know we can't really afford new ones right now!"

"I said I didn't fucking mean to, Jesus. You're not even gonna need it anymore," I snapped back with just as much fire. If he was gonna yell, so was I.

"I don't care, I wear them when I have to dress up. You're gonna get me a new one," he demanded staring me down. Fuck, he was mad.

Wait, he was mad...

Anger turned him on; Carl always got rougher with me when we'd get mad at each other. That was just a fact. I had unintentionally helped myself by ruining his uniform. This was it, my plan.

I got up in his face, "Or fucking what, Carl? What are you gonna do if I don't?"

"Cailee, you better stop. I'm warning you..." he growled. I pushed my chest up against his and clasped my hands behind my back.

"Make me."
